Peacock Butterflies

Love how this card pairs the Curvy Dies with the curves of the Butterflies! Add some Butterfly Bijou DSP and you have a quick, simple, but beautiful card! We'll be doing this card in my Set of the Month class with the Butterfly Bouquet Suite next week!!

Measurements:  

• Pretty Peacock: 1/2 Sheet
• Butterfly Bijou DSP (N): 3" x 5 1/4"
• Basic White: 1/2 sheet, 3" x 5 1/4"

To Make This Card:

• Cut "filigree" curve from Basic White piece, as shown. Attach DSP to back of "filigree piece, so it shows through the filigree cuts.  Attach to card front. Then attach white "bottom" to card, creating a full front.
• Using the Stamparatus, ink up the Butterflies in Pretty Peacock.  Stamp onto 1/2 sheet of Basic White.  Reink if necessary.  Cut with Brilliant Wings dies.  Save extra butterflies for another project.
• Select desired butterflies.  Shape with Bone Folder, and attach where desired with rolled Mini Glue Dots.
• Finish with retired Pretty Peacock Rhinestones.

Curvy Strawberries

So, we are going to play with the Sweet Strawberry Bundle this weekend at club!  So, I wanted to make some samples to inspire. We are NOT making this card, but I absolutely love the combination of the Curvy Dies, Strawberry Punch, and awesome SAB Berry Delightful paper!

Measurements:  

• Shaded Spruce: 1/2 sheet cut LENGTHWISE
• Basic White: 4" x 5 1/4"
• Berry Delightful DSP (N): 4" x 5 1/4", strawyberry and leaves to punch

To Make This Card

• Cut 1 "filigree" border from "top" of Basic White piece.  Note: Be sure to note that the cut edge is below the details. Then, cut the other curve from the remaining piece.  These are random cuts!
• TIP: Now, lay these pieces on top of the Strawberry DSP.  Originally, the opening did not show off the neat "strawberries", but mostly "leaves".  So, you do not need the full piece of DSP anyway, so attach these white curvy pieces on top where you have the best "view" of DSP.  Then, trim your White pieces as necessary to 4" x 5 1/4" so it fits the front of the folded Shaded Spruce card..  Leaving room on the bottom section for the Words/Punched Strawberry.
• Punch 1 Strawberry and 2 Leaves from DSP. Attach Strawberry, as shown, with a Dimensional. Add 2 leaves, flat, underneath.  I made sure one leaf was Shaded Spruce to tie in with the Shaded Spruce card..
• Curve the sentiment onto your block, so it matches YOUR curve!  Stamp with Shaded Spruce Ink,
• Attach this layer to folded card!
• Finish with scattered Shaded Spruce Rhinestones from the Holiday Rhinestones!! AND, a darling Ladybug Trinket!

Curvy Mushroom

 This is another card that I CASED this weekend! I love the curvy, clean lines and bright colors!

Measurements:  

• Whisper White: 1/2 sheet, 3" x 5 1/4" (curvy layer), scrap
• Snail Mail DSP(N): 2 1/2" x 5 1/4"

To Make This Card:

• Attach Bermuda Bay DSP to folded Whisper White card.  
• Cut "dotty curve" from smaller Whisper White piece by lining up left edge of die and cutting with Stampin n Emboss Machine. Attach to card over DSP.  You will need to trim the bottom of this layer with the Paper Trimmer, so 1/8" shows from bottom layer of card.
• Stamp sentiment in Memento Black.  Add Real Red Resin Dot at the end.
• Stamp "mushroom" in Memento Black.  Color with coordinating Blends as shown. (I use the colors from the back of the DSP).  Cut out with corresponding die. Attach to card with Dimensionals.

• Highland Heather: 1/2 sheet
• Purple Posey: 4" x 5 1/4"
• Snowflake Splendor DSP (N): 3" x 5 1/4"
• Whisper White: scrap

To Make This Card:

• Attach Purple Posey layer to folded Highland Heather card.
• Cut DSP down the middle with the "dotty" curve.  Attach the bottom, smooth piece to the bottom of the Purple Posey layer.
• Curve the "trees" stamp to match up with the curve of the paper.  Stamp in Bermuda Bay ink. Attach the "dotty" top DSP layer to the top of the Purple Posey layer.  Trim, first, if necessary.
• Punch a Tailored Tag from Whisper White.  Stamp sentiment in Bermuda Bay near bottom, and stamp "bow" in Black ink above words. Color bow with Highland Heather Blends. Attach to card with Dimensionals.
• Finish with a purple ombre bow and blue rhinestones.

Curvy Winter Woods

I love this "plop and drop" card pairing the Curvy Dies with my favorite, In the Woods dies. It's really quite stunning in its' design and simplicity.

Measurements:  

• Shaded Spruce: 1/2 sheet, scrap
• Classic Christmas DSP (N) 4" x 5 1/4"
• Whisper White: 4" x 2 5/8", 2 3/4" x 4", scrap

To Make This Card:

• Attach DSP to folded Shaded Spruce Card.
• Cut "dimensional" tree from cooresponding Whisper White piece. Positioin "tree" on card, but DO NOT adhere, yet.
• Cut "filigree" border from bottom edge of  Whisper White Layer. Lay onto card, above "tree". Trim if necessary to fit above "tree".  Adhere both pieces to card.
• Stamp sentiment in Shaded Spruce onto scrap of white.  Cut out with small oval die.  Attach to small scalloped oval die in Shaded Sprude.  Adhere to card as shown.
• Finish with Shaded Spruce Rhinestones from Holiday Rhinestones.
