Copper Embossed Leaves

This hybrid die and embossing folder combo is just stunning in foil.  So, dig out those foil scraps that you have in all kinds of colors and textures, and cut some leaves! This one uses our retired Copper Foil. They are just gorgeous.  I saw a card with a similar composition and colors.  I just LOVE it!

Measurements:

  • Blackberry Bliss: 1/2 sheet, scrap
  • Crumb Cake: 3 7/8" x 5 1/8"
  • Copper Foil: 3 1/2" x 5" (largest leaf), 3" square (small leaf)
To Make this Card
  • Emboss Crumb Cake piece with the Changing Leaves Embossing Folder.  Attach to folded Blackberry Bliss card.
  • Next, emboss and die cut the Copper Foil leaves.  Place the die into the 'label" side of the embossing folder. It will "lock and load" into place.
  • Now, place the foil piece over the die, RIGHT side down. (the white backing will be up). Close the lid, and run through the machine.  I prefer to flip it over, but you run the risk of it bumping off, so it's ok to leave as is and run it through the machine. Set aside.
  • Next, stamp and emboss sentiment in white onto scrap of Blackberry Bliss.  Die cut with Stitched Circle from Stylish Shapes.
  • Lay out pieces on card front. Attach leaves to front with Green, Multipurpose Glue, and sentiment with Dimensionals.
  • Finish with scattered Copper Metallic Gems and a sheer bow in Blackberry Bliss.
