3-D Hydrangea Haven

Got a call at the last minute this morning to sub in fourth grade.  So, I had to drop everything, and run this morning, so this is a little late... Enjoy!

As I played with the Hydrangea Dies, I discovered that there was this unique die that cut floral dimensional to the flower (and removed it from the stem). If you look closely at this sample, you can see the subtle Dimension of the flower!  It is really unique! Paired with some of the gorgeous DSP, you have a quick, beautiful, card!

Measurements:

  • Gorgeous Grape: 1/2 sheet
  • Hydrangea Hill DSP (N): 2 1/4" x 5 1/4"
  • Whisper White: 4" x 5 1/4", 3 1/4" x 4 1/4" (flower)
To Make this Card:

  • Attach Whisper White piece to folded Gorgeous Grape card. Adhere Hydrangea Hill DSP to the bottom of the card.
  • Wrap Gorgeous Grape sheer ribbon around card, over DSP and tie in a bow to the right side of the card.
  • Stamp full flower onto piece of white with Memento Black. Use Sponge Daubers to add Old Olive to the leaves. On this one I also added a little Mossy Meadow to add contrast., Color the flower with Hightland Heather & Gorgeous Grape.
  • Cut out with corresponding die. Then go back and cut "detail" on "flower".
  • To enhance "detail", I turned over the flower, and poked each petal back with a stylus. This little detail makes such a big difference!
  • Attach "stem" to the card. Then attach the flower. This is a little trickey to do as adding the adhesive flattens the flowers, and as you life the petals, there is not much surface left to adhere the flower!  Good Luck.  Let me know what you discover!
  • Finish with sentiment in Gorgeous Grape and the Pastel Pearls.
