Becky's Stampin' Studio: March 2026

I am just loving the Easter Joy Suite! Love the colors, love the designs, love the basket!! I will be using this Suite for Stamp Club when I get back, so I was having a play with it before I go!! Too much fun! This card was designed by Wendy Lee, and is just too cute, with a neat, fun twist to a "regular" card!

Measurements:

Balmy Blue: 1/4 sheet, 3" x 5 1/2" (flap), 3/8" x 2" (label), 1 3/4" x 3" (basket weave)
Basic White: 4" x 5 1/4"
Crumb Cake: 3" x 4"
Summer Splash: scrap
Lemon Lolly: 1 3/4" x 3" (basket weave)
Peach Pie: 1 3/4" x 3" (basket weave)
Pretty in Pink: 1 3/4" x 3" (basket weave)
Pecan Pie: scrap (bunny)
Easter Joy DSP (N): 2 3/4" x 4 1/2" (blue print), random "eggs"

To Make This Card:

Take the Balmy Blue "flap" piece and score at 3/4". Mountain fold, and crease well.
Place "blue" DSP onto front of flap.
Place Tear n Tape on "inside" of 3/4" area. Remove backing and "hook" over White layer, as shown - so it lifts up.
Now, you can adhere the White layer to the Balmy Blue "postcard" base.
Now to decorate the front flap!
Die cut "basket" from Crumb Cake cardstock, as well as "grass" from Summer Splash, and strips to weave from 4 colors.
Also, stamp small "bunny" in Early Espresso onto Pecan Pie scrap and die cut with corresponding die.
Carefully weave the 4 strips through the cuts in the basket (you can use as many strips and colors as you like!) Remember you need to start each stripe opposite of the previous one! Basket Weaving 101!
Adhere the "grass" to the wrong, top side of "basket"
Next, add "basket" to the front flap, as shown, with Dimensionals, leaving the "top" of the basket free.
Add the "bunny" inside the basket with a Dimensional.
Now, find a scrap of the DSP with the printed "eggs" and cut out 3. These are a little "free form" so I chose the one ones that look more like "eggs". Tuck those in the "basket", flush with the card.
If desired, stamp sentiment onto strip of Balmy Blue and trim at an angle. Add to "basket" with Dimensionals.
Finish inside with sentiment centered under "flap".
Finish outside with Blue Gingham Bow and scattered Pearlized Faceted Dots.
