Fall Merry Moments

I have seen several cards using the Merry Moments Bundle for fall. I particularly liked this version using the Blending Brushes and fall ink colors.  Love how it turned out!  Still a little bit of a learning curve on this Hybrid Die & Embossing Folder - which is GORGEOUS!! I've paired it with the awesome Blackberry Beauty DSP!

Measurements:

  • Rich Razzleberry: 1/2 sheet
  • Very Vanilla: 1/4 sheet, 2 3/8" x 3"
  • Blackberry Beauty DSP (N): 4" x 5 1/4"
  • Gold Foil: 2 1/8" x 2 7/8"
To Make This Card:

  • Fold Rich Razzleberry card in half, and attach DSP layer.
  • Place detailed die into embossing folder, add Very Vanilla piece, and run through the Die Cutting Machine.
  • Now take the various ink colors and carefully apply ink as shown with Blending Brushes.  Darked with ink and sponge dauber, where desired.
  • Attach Gold Foil to center of embossed piece.  Stamp and emboss sentiment in gold.  Cut out with coordinating rectangle die.  Attach to card over gold foil

Another Origami Square Fold + Video

Here is another verions of the Origami Square Fold Card. I didn't have enough cardstock for the "ghost" version, so I created this "pumpkin" version for some of my customers to make instead!  I love this one, too!

    Measurements:

    • Basic Gray: 1/2 sheet cut LENGTHWISE
    • Basic Black: 1 1/8" x 4 1/8", 4" square (inside)
    • Basic White: 3 3/4" square (inside)
    • Cute Halloween DSP (N): 2 pcs @ 4" square, 7/8" x 3 7/8", scraps to punch

    To Make This Card:

    • Fold Basic Gray card base in half.  Score at 1 1/4" from fold, front side only.  Crease the front back well. Place adhesive under this 1 1/4" and glue front and back together.
    • Attach Black strip and DSP strip to this left side. Set this aside as we make the Origami Square.
    • Now, take the 4" DSP square and fold it in half, open, and then fold it in half the other way.  You will now take each point fold it in to the center, where the folds cross. Repeat for all 4 corners. Crease really well with a bone folder!
    • Now, take each point and fold it back to the creased edge as shown! Crease well.
    • Attach coordinating 4" square to front of card "on point".  Attach Square Fold on top.
    • Take a scrap of the coordinating DSP and PUNCH out a "pumpkin".  Center onto origami square with a Dimensional.
    • To do the inside, layer the White and Black together and attach. Punch out 3 "pumpkins" and 2 "cats".  Attach to bottom of inside. Stamp a sentiment in Black from the Stamp set.
    • Finish with a strip of Black Glitter ribbon down the "spine" (attached at each end with glue dots), with a knot tied around the strip. And, scattered Star Sequins.

    Welcoming Woods meets Nature's Beauty

I've been trying to create with sets I got for "fall" and still haven't used before I transition to Christmas!!  I love the Welcoming Woods stamp set, because it can be used for both!!  It transitions well with me!  For this card, I used the Tidings of Christmas DSP from the Annual Catalog along with the new Welcoming Woods and old Nature's Beauty stamp sets!  The Welcoming Woods is so versatile and you'll discover why the Nature's Beauty has been left if our collection!.  You need to check these sets out!

    Measurements:

    • Gray Granite: 1/2 sheet, 3 1/2" x 4 3/8"
    • Basic White: 3 1/4" x 4 1/8", 2 1/4" x 2 3/8"
    • Tidings of Christmas DSP: 4" x 5 1/4"
    To Make This Card:

    • Fold Gray Granite card in half, and attach DSP layer.
    • Stamp "trees" in Gray Granite onto White piece, near the top cut edge.
    • Lightly sponge Misty Moonlight ink through trees, leaving "ground" white.
    • Stamp "snowflakes" in stamped off Misty Moonlight through the trees.  Attach to Gray Granite piece.
    • Now, stamp "fox" in Gray Granite ink in center of square, with its' ears near the top. Stamp sentiment in Basic Gray in the center of the square, over the "fox".
    • Draw a pencil line above the sentiment, parallel with the bottom of the message. Cut across the pencil line, around the top of the "fox" and across the other pencil mark.  Neat, huh!  Erase any remaining pencil lines.
    • Wrap ribbon around the layers and tie in a knot.  Attach this piece to card front with Dimensionals.
    • Attach sentiment and fox to card, over ribbon with Dimensionals.
    • FInish with scattered Snowflake Sequins or blue sequins from the Artistry Blooms collection.
