Cute Halloween Peekaboo

I just love the Cute Halloween DSP, and I don't usually "do" halloween!  I saw a version of this card and thought it would be great for my stamp group at our Independent Living facility!

Measurements:

  • Old Olive: 1/2 sheet cut LENGTHWISE
  • Pumpkin Pie: 3 3/4" x 5"
  • Cute Halloween DSP (N): 4" x 5 1/4", punched pieces
  • Basic White: scraps
To Make This Card:

    • Fold Old Olive base in half. Attach Halloween DSP.
    • Cut circles die from Pumpkin Pie cardstock.  Attach over DSP with dimensionals.
    • Find and punch 3 images from DSP. Pop these up in the 3 larger "windows" as shown
    • Stamp just the "Boo" onto scraps of White. Cut around and place, flat, in the remaining small windows.
    • Finish with a wrapped black glitter bow and Cutest Star Sequins.

    Cutest Halloween Origami Square Fold

This card was inspired by customer, Shirley Monkman, who said she wanted to try this fold,  and fellow demonstrator Karen Titus, who refreshed my memory as to who this was made. I haven't done one of these in years, and it's so easy and fun!! The trick, is what to do with it after you make it!  I just saw one that was added to a Book Binder fold.  It's PERFECT!!  So, here's my version, using the darling images from Cutest Halloween.  We will be doing this in my FUN FOLD class this week.  Keep in mind, that in a FUN FOLD class, it's about the FOLDS, and not necessary the stamps and paper used!!

    Measurements:

    • Basic Gray: 1/2 sheet cut LENGTHWISE
    • Basic Black: 3 1/8" square, 1 18" x 4 1/8", 4" square (inside)
    • Highland Heather: 3 3/8" square
    • Basic White: 3 3/4" square (inside)
    • Cute Halloween DSP (N): 4" square, 7/8" x 3 7/8", scraps to punch/fussy cut

    To Make This Card:

    • Fold Basic Gray card base in half.  Score at 1 1/4" from fold, front side only.  Crease the front back well. Place adhesive under this 1 1/4" and glue front and back together.
    • Attach Black strip and DSP strip to this left side. Set this aside as we make the Origami Square.
    • Now, take the 4" DSP square and fold it in half, open, and then fold it in half the other way.  You will now take each point fold it in to the center, where the folds cross. Repeat for all 4 corners. Crease really well with a bone folder!
    • Now, take each point and fold it back to the creased edge as shown! Crease well.
    • Mount this folded square onto the Black and Heather layers, and then center onto cared base.
    • Take a scrap of the coordinating DSP and PUNCH out a "ghost".  Center onto origami square with a Dimensional.
    • To do the inside, layer the White and Black together and attach.  Fussy cut 2 images from the DSP and attach where desired.  Stamp a sentiment in Black from the Stamp set.
    • Finish with a strip of Black Glitter ribbon down the "spine" (attached at each end with glue dots), with a knot tied around the strip.
    • Note:  I do not adhere the "points" of the square, as I like the dimension it creates. But you can if you would like to.
