Lovely, Simple Pansy Card

This is a beautiful, simple card using one of our new colors, Pale Papaya, and our beautiful Pansy Petals DSP. Love the layering and colors. This is another card that we made on our retreat.

Measurements:

Pale Papaya (N): 1/2 sheet, 2" x 3 3/4", 1 1/2" x 3 1/4", 2 1/2" x 3 3/4"
Basic White: 4" x 5 1/4", 2 1/8" x 2 3/4"
Pansy Petals DSP (N): 1 3/4" x 3 1/2" (Papaya Gingham), 1 1/4" x 3" (Pansy)

To Make This Card:

Run larger, White piece through Embossing Folder. Attach to folded Papaya Card.
Attach Gingham Piece to corresponding Papaya piece, and Pansy Piece to corresponding Papaya piece. Set aside.
Cut large "tag" from Stitched So Sweetly Dies in Papaya, and smaller "tag" in White.
Stamp sentiment in Evening Evergreen, onto White "tag" and attach to Papaya Tag.
Arrange all, as shown, onto card. Attaching "tags" to card with Dimensionals.
Finish with darling Bumblebee.

Manly Easel Card

Need a card for Father's Day?? This one is really neat! I love all the textures in this masculine card! And, I finally used this neat Handsomely Suited Bundle!!

Measurements:

Evening Evergreen (N): 1/2 sheet cut LENGTHWISE, 3 7/8" x 5 1/8", 5/8" x 4" easel support, scraps
Basic White: 4" x 5 1/4" (inside), 3 7/8" x 5 1/8", scrap
Pansy Petals DSP (N): scrap for tie, scrap for support

To Make This Card:

Fold Evening Evergreen base in half, and then in half again.
Place trimmed White piece inside card.
Cut "V" neck from larger layer. Cut out "pocket". Run these 2 pieces through Embossing Folder for texture.
Cut "lapels" in Evening Evergreen. Cut "collar" in Basic White, and cut "tie" & "knot" from DSP stripe.
Adhere "collar" to center edges of White piece. Add "tie" and "knot" on a Dimensional.
Then, add "jacket front" over White piece. Add "lapels" and "pocket".
Attach lower half of this piece to front fold of card base.
Stamp sentiment in lower right corner with Evening Evergreen.
Attach narrow DSP piece to Evergreen piece. Attach inside of card with Mini Dimensionals for the "support", above sentiment.

Barn Gate Fold

I'm back! My subbing duties are done, and I'm ready to get back to my studio to play with all my new things!!

Here is another cute card from our retreat! I call this style of card a "Barn Gate" Fold. It uses our Color and Contour Bundle and cute Host Paper - Pattern Party. So many occasions this design could be used for!

Measurements:

Smokey Slate: 1/2 sheet
Basic White: 1/4 sheet
Basic Black: 2 3/4" x 4" (front), 2 7/8" x 3" (inside)
Pool Party: 2" square
Pale Papaya (N): 2" square
Poppy Parade: 2 " square
Pattern Party Host (N): 2 1/2" x 3 3/4"

To Make This Card:

Cut 2 5/8" from top of card. Discard the cut off piece.
Add Basic Black and Gingham piece to front flap.
Cut larger, scalloped die front Basic White quarter sheet. Attach to inside of card.
Stamp 3 "daisies in matching ink onto 2" squares. Cut out with corresponding die. Attach to card as shown. Add Black Matt Dots to centers, if desired. I forgot to do mine.
Stamp sentiment in Memento Black in space above.
If you wish to make this a Gift Card holder as well: Take other Black piece and punch a 1" half circle in one shorter end. Attach to back side of "flap" with 1/8" Tear & Tape.

Pansy Belt Card

Here is another awesome card that we made on our retreat! I call these "belt" cards as the tag folding over the front of the card resembles a belt! I haven't tried Blackberry Bliss with the Pansy DSP, but it's gorgeous!

Measurements:

Blackberry Bliss: 1/2 sheet
Basic White: 4" x 5 1/4"
Pansy Petals (N): 2" x 5 1/4", 1 large Pansy die cut, 1 small Pansy die cut

To Make This Card:

Cut 2" from front of card. Attach Pansy strip to front of card.
Take the strip you just removed and remove 1". Now, score at 3/4". Creasse well. Then, punch the other end with Delightful Tag Topper Punch.
Center this "belt" behind the White layer, and attach to inside of card.
Stamp sentiment in Blackberry Bliss onto lower right corner of white piece.
Finish with 1 large flat Pansy, and one small Popped up Pansy onto "belt". And a "bumblebee" wherever.
