Modified Cut Apart Card

I hadn't done this card design in AGES and thought it would be perfect for my stampers at our Care Center.  I will probably also be using it in my Fun Fold Class, because it is such a classic! This one uses the gingham DSP from the Pansy Petals DSP in the Annual Catalog with the Color and Contour Bundle!

  • Basic White: 4" x 5 1/4", 2" x 3 3/8"
  • Pansy Petals DSP: 2 pcs @ 2" x 4"

To Make this Card:

  • Score Fresh Freesia base at 2 1/4" from each end. Attach DSP strips
  • Attach While layer to inside
  • Cut Stitched Scallop Rectangle from Fresh Freesia piece.
  • Stamp floral image to White rectangle with Memento Ink.  Color with Blends as shown.  Attach to Scallop Rectangle.
  • Close card, and lay rectangle in place.  Attach upper portion to top of card.

Special Card

I received this card from my Stampin' Up! District Manager, congratulating me on earning the cruise!  So thoughtful, and unexpected.  I just love it!  I had to go through the catalogs to find out what stamp set he used. I wanted to share it with you, as the layout could be used with so many sets and papers!  I had a long, tiring week of teaching, ending with a nasty cold/sinus..  Hope to be back in my stamp room SOON!!  In the meantime, enjoy this from the home office!

  • Daffodil Delight: 1/2 sheet
  • Brights DSP Stack: 2 pcs @ 1" x 3 3/4"
  • Basic White: 2 1/4" x 3 3/4", scraps
To Make This Card:

  • Stamp sentiment in Basic Gray on upper right corner of White piece.

I'm back!  My subbing duties are done, and I'm ready to get back to my studio to play with all my new things!!

Here is another cute card from our retreat!  I call this style of card a "Barn Gate" Fold. It uses our Color and Contour Bundle and cute Host Paper - Pattern Party.  So many occasions this design could be used for!

  • Basic White: 1/4 sheet
  • Basic Black: 2 3/4" x 4" (front), 2 7/8" x 3" (inside)
  • Pool Party: 2" square
  • Pale Papaya (N): 2" square
  • Poppy Parade: 2 " square
  • Pattern Party Host (N):  2 1/2" x 3 3/4"
To Make This Card:

  • Cut 2 5/8" from top of card. Discard the cut off piece.

  • Cut larger, scalloped die front Basic White quarter sheet.  Attach to inside of card.
  • Stamp 3 "daisies in matching ink onto 2" squares.  Cut out with corresponding die.  Attach to card as shown. Add Black Matt Dots to centers, if desired.  I forgot to do mine.

Color & Contour Blends & Alcohol Marbling

So, I saved this one for last, since it is my Shoebox Swap for the retreat I am attending in the Ozarks! The participants will actually have the opportunity to TRY this technique, and then make a card with it!  It uses the Scalloped Contour dies AND the Color & Contour stamps - that I didn't purchase with the bundle, but went back and added it later.  Boy, am I glad I did!  This stamp set is AWESOME!!

Measurements:

  • Polished Pink (N): 1/2 sheet
  • Vellum: 1/4 sheet
  • Highland Heather: 2 3/4" x 4"
  • Basic White: 4" x 5 1/4", 2 3/4" x 4"
To Make This Card:

  • Take the 2 (or more) Darkest Blends, and randomly color all over the vellum. I place it on my silicone sheet! Now, take a paint brush or Aqua Painter or Water Brush and dab the 91% Alcohol on top of the blends.  Allowing the colors to bleed.  Set aside to dry, or dry with a heat tool.  Note: I find it curls more if allowed to dry naturally.
  • Cut Stitched Scallop from Basic White.  Stamp 1 flower in Basic Gray, it just fits!. Stamp the "color" in stamped off Polished Pink, or for darker color, stamp full strength.  I colored in the "leaves" with the Lt Soft Succulent Blend. Adhere to Highland Heather piece.
  • Now, trim Vellum piece to 4" x 5 1/4", trimming away any edges where the ink may have pooled. And attach to Basic White piece with Multipurpose Glue.
  • Attach "marble" piece to folded Polished Pink card.   Add the Highland Heather rectangle to the card with Dimensionals.
  • Finish with Wink of Stella in the center of the "flowers". and a bow in Polished Pink Open Weave Ribbon.
