Arrow Card Samples

I wanted to share more Arrow Card ideas with you, since this is such an awesome fold! These were shared with me by my aunt, Marcia.  They were designed by her stampin' friend, Margaret.  I just LOVE them!  I would not have thought to fold the card the "other" way! I hope you can take something away from these designs.  The acutal directions are a little lower, here, on my blog! Enjoy the inspiration!

Plentiful Plants Give It a Whirl

I love, love, love this new bundle - Plentiful Plants - and the richly colored DSP - Bloom Where You're Planted! This paper will be part of our July DSP sale beginning Thursday, July 1st!!  I used it in combination with the Give It a Whirl stand-alone die.  Love the results!

Measurements:

  • Evening Evergreen: 1/2 sheet
  • Just Jade: 4 1/8" x 5 3/8"
  • Thick Basic White: 3 3/4" square
  • Basic White: 4" x 5 1/4"
  • Mint Macaron: scrap for sentiment
  • Bloom Where You Are Planted DSP (N): 4" x 5 1/4", scraps for plants

To Make This Card

  • Attach Just Jade layer to folded Evening Evergreen card.
  • Cut "whirly" base from "leafy" DSP using dies for this purpose, along with circle "window" also included!
  • Cut interactive "wheel" from Thick Basic White.
  • Die cut (or fussy cut) "pot" of your choice from the DSP. Set aside.
  • Die cut 3 plants with the circle die that you used for the card "window".
  • Place mini brad through the hole in the "whirly" base and into the "wheel". Open prongs, but not too tightly.
  • Place "pot" below circle window opening.  I placed a glue dot on the top of the brad, and a dimensional on the bottom of the "pot" to keep things even.
  • Line up the "creases" of the wheel in the window opening, and attach one "plant circle" in each section - for a total of 3. "Give it a Whirl" to see how it looks!!
  • Now you need to attach this to your card, using a variety of "dimensionals".  Regular, Adhesive Strips, and Adhesive Sheets!!  You want to raise up the entire piece so the "wheel" will turn, and the front will be "supported", but not so close to the wheel as it won't turn! I use only 1 layer of Dimensionals for mine, some demos use 2 - the choice is yours!
  • Stamp sentiment in Evening Evergreen onto strip of Mint Macaron.  Cut out with label die from the Floral Gallery dies.Attach to card with Mini Dimensionals.
  • Attach white piece to inside of card.  Add "die cuts" from DSP.
  • Finish with a knot of Evening Evergreen Open Weave ribbon
