Masculine Clean & Simple Card

Sorry, I've been out subbing a lot this week! Will try to catch up a bit!

I was looking for a nice, clean and simple card for my stampers in Assisted Living, and came across this card. They loved it!! They loved the "book" DSP, the touches of foil, as well as the fact that it could be used as a card for a guy! I enjoyed the fold as well!

Measurements:

Basic Black: 1/2 sheet
Copper Clay (N): 3 1/8" x 5 3/8", 7/8" x 5 3/8"
All About Autumn (N): 3" x 5 1/4" (books), 3/4" x 5 1/4" (copper foil - other side). 1/4" x 4" (inside)
Very Vanilla: 4" x 5 1/4" (inside), scrap

To Make This Card:

Score Black base at 1" and 5 1/4". Crease well. The front edges should meet in the front!
Adhere the DSP pieces to the corresponding Copper Clay layers, and then adhere to front of card.
Attach Vanilla quarter to inside - which is really the center area. See picture above!
Add Copper strip to the bottom, if desired.
Stamp sentiment in Copper Clay ink onto scrap of Very Vanilla. Cut out with Deckled Edge Rectangle.
Attach LEFT side to the "books" , leaving the RIGHT side free. I added a clear Velcro dot to hold it closed.
Finish with 3 Copper Clay Speckled Dots.

Fall Translucent Florals

I created this card for my classes at the Senior Center! I just love the new Translucent Florals, but it's fall, and I wanted to try it using fall colors! This one uses the gorgeous Naturally Gilded DSP from the Online Exclusives along with our new, Deckled Circles, and label die from the Wonderful Thoughts! This one is just gorgeous IRL!

Measurements:

Cajun Craze: 1/2 sheet, 3 1/2" square, scrap
Naturally guilded DSP (OE): 4" x 5 1/4", 1/2" x 4"
Very Vanilla: 3 1/4" square, 4" x 5 1/4" (inside), scrap

To Make This Card:

Adhere DSP to folded Cajun Craze card.
Add Vanilla quarter and DSP strip to inside, as shown.
Stamp "flower" in Cajun Craze, and "leaves" in Old Olive, as shown, onto Vanilla square.
Center floral image and cut from largest Stitched Circle from the Stylish Shapes.
Attach Vanilla circle to Cajun Craze Deckled circle a little larger than Stitched Circle.
Add to card with Dimensionals.
Stamp desired sentiment in Cajun Craze, and die cut with desired die. I used the neat label from the Wonderful Thoughts Dies.
Finish with Gold & Vanilla ribbon and Brushed Metallic Dots.

Countryside Inn Fractured Card

As I've mentioned before, I am just loving this Fractured Technique...and my customers do, too! However, I had yet to try one with FOUR different papers on the corners!! I thought the coordinating blues in the Countryside Inn DSP would be just perfect for this card! The center, focal point is an embossed "medallion" from the coordinating Countryside Blossoms. To complete the coordinated look, I colored some retired, white crinkled seam binding ribbon with a Boho Blue Blend. I just LOVE it!

Measurements:

Boho Blue (N)t: 1/2 sheet
Countryside Inn DSP: 4 - 1/4 sheets of 4 different, coordinating DSP prints
Night of Navy: 4 pcs @ 1/4" x 4 1/4"
Basic White: 2 1/2" square, 2 pcs @ 4" x 5 1/4" (1 to "build" the fractured layer)(1 inside)

To Make This Card:

Die cut 2" stitched square from Stylish Shapes dies from White piece.
Emboss with the Countryside Blossoms Embossing Folder. I chose the center "medallion".
Center White, embossed square to one of the White layers. DO NOT ADHERE TO FRONT OF CARD, YET.
Next, take one 1/4" Night of Navy strip and lay from corner of square, along the cut edge of the square, and off the White layer.
Then, lay the next strip, butting the end to the previously laid strip, and laying this one also along cut edge and off the DSP. Repeat until all 4 layers are done.
Next, trim off the strips so that they are even with the DSP.
This is where you do things a little differently.
Take one of your pcs of DSP. Place "green glue" onto the White corner you are wanting to adhere it to. Slide the corner of the DSP onto the White corner, with cut edges even with the Navy borders. Flip piece over, and trim DSP even with edges of card layer. Repeat with other 3 corners. Laying each DSP piece in a pleasing manner (i.e. watch the lines/stripes!)
NOW, adhere this completed White layer to the folded Boho Blue card.
Finish with a bow, if you'd like. I colored some White Crinkled Seam Binding with a Boho Blue Blend. I also added a few 2023 InColor Dots in Boho Blue.

Christmas Classics Shaker Card

When I got these awesome dies, I could envision a shaker card with the detailed, square die, and the loose holly gems as the shakers! It's been AGES since I've done a shaker card, and it was kind of fun! It took a bit, but I think I finally got what I was envisioning! You really need to see this one in person!

Measurements:

Real Red: 1/2 sheet, scrap
Joy of Christmas DSP (N): 4" x 5 1/4" (motled Shaded Spruce)
Gold Foil: 4" square
Window Sheet: 2 3/8" square
Basic White: 2 1/2" square, 4" x 5 1/4" (inside)

To Make This Card:

Attach DSP to folded Real Red card. Set aside.
Cut "detailed, square frame" from center of Gold Foil piece. You will need to remove the center using the "center label" die. You can do this either when you cut the "frame", or run it through a second time. You can toss the "label" as you will not be needing it for this card.
Carefully, attach window sheet to wrong side of gold frame.
Next, carefully add Adhesive Strips to the wrong side of "frame". If you are really careful, you CAN add this without seeing it from the right side, otherwise, trim it a bit, or use the outside edges, trimmed to your desired width, from Dimensional edges. Set aside.
Now, take the White square. Sprinkle some Holly Gems and Sequins in the center.
Remove the backing from the Adhesive Strips, center onto White square, over "gems", and adhere together.
Now, you can adhere this to your card base where desired.
To finish, stamp and emboss, in White, your sentiment onto strip of Real Red. Trim close, and round 2 opposing corners.
Add a bow, if desired. I used some retired Shaded Spruce and gold ribbon.
