Thanks to France Martin for this unique fold! I don't know if it's the fold, or the awesome Peony Garden colors that I fell in love with at first sight, but I LOVE this card!!

Triple Cube (Box) Pop Up Card

Last week, while preparing for my Downline Meeting, I got to finally make some of the projects that I have been wanting to do for some time! It was a FUN week, with my Mom!! These Pop Up Cube cards are EVERYWHERE, and have been for some time! Only the "original" one goes in a 6x6 envelope. I prefer "standard" sized cards, so found, and combined directions for a Mini Version that will fit into a "business" envelope.

Measurements:

  • Balmy Blue: 8” x 8 ½”, 2 strips – ½” x 1 ½”
  • Snowflake Splendor DSP (N): 8 pcs 1 3/4" square, 2" x 3"
  • Balmy Blue Glimmer (N): 2" strip

To Make this Card:
  • Score the 8 ½” side at 2”, 4”, 6”, 8”.
  • Turn to the 8” side and cut 2 pcs at 2” each. Crease each piece well, and attach Tear Tape to ½” edge. (right side). Lay pieces “flat” and adhere into “box”.
  • Place Tear Tape onto one side of smaller “box” Attach to lower edge of main box.  Attach other smaller “box”, right next to this one. Try it out to make sure it lies flat!
  •  Now, it’s time to decorate! Fold 2 small strips in half. Place Tear Tap on both sides. Attach ½ inside smaller “box” where the 2 smaller boxes meet. Attach second strip the same. Leave the backing on the other side.·
  •  Attach DSP to cube faces…
  • Create message, or image to place in this area.  I embossed the message from the stamp set in Silver onto a piece of DSP and decorated it with Adhesive-backed Snowflake Sequins. Then, remove backing and attach to strips.
  • Cut 2 "large" snowflakes and 6 "smaller" snowflakes from the Blue Glimmer paper.  The larger snowflakes are double layered onto the "top" cubes, and the smaller snowflakes attached to the remaining, exposed DSP squares.
Note: This size should fit into a "business" sized envelope, or make our own!!
