As I was preparing for my Holiday Class, I created many other samples! This is a gorgeous card in Vanilla and Gold. Simple, but elegant! And, much more impressive in person!
Measurements:
- Very Vanilla: 1/2 sheet, 4" x 5 1/4", 3 3/8" x 4 7/8" (Ornate Frame), 1" x 3 3/4"
- Brushed Metallic (N): 2 3/4" 5 1/2"
To Make this Card:
- Cut Ornate Frame from smallest Vanilla piece. Cut a Stitched Rectangle from the center. (this barely fits. Use the close-cut edge as the bottom, that will get covered by the Gold Holly). Attach to folded Vanilla card.
- Emboss "candles" in Gold Embossing powder, in center of "frame".
- Cut "Holly" border from Brushed Gold cardstock, keeping the little pieces that get completely cut out. Attach this to card below "candles".
- Emboss message on narrow piece of Vanilla. I minimized the width as much as possible to show more of the beautiful "Holly". Attach to card, down "center" of Holly. Tuck extra pieces underneath message to fill it in.
- Finish with a bow.
