Red Check Birthday Chick

Here is a fun Red and White birthday card, that utilizes some of the free Berry Blessings DSP that is about to retire. And, yes, it also uses the same Chick... sorry!  But, she's so cute!

Measurements:  

• Real Red: 1/2 sheet
• Basic White: 4" x 5 1/4", 2 1/8" x 4 1/4", scrap
• Berry Delightful DSP (N): 3 3/4" x 5"

To Make This Card

• Fold Real Red card in half. Attach DSP and White piece to card front.
• Stamp Chick in Memento Black onto strip of Basic White.  Color with Blends as shown. Attach to Right Side of card.
• Adhere scrap of Basic White to Foam Adhesive sheet. Cut all out with Birthday Die.  Carefully remove centers of letters and attach to card.
• Finish with knot of Real Red ribbon.

Male Snail Corner Flip Fold

Love this Male Snail die cut!  I really think he looks like a walrus!  Just another way to use the the Snailed It Bundle. I hadn't made a corner fold in ages, let along one with a landscape orientation. I really like it!

Measurements:  

• Real Red: 1/2 sheet cut LENGTHWISE
• Snail Mail DSP (N): 2 pcs 4" x 5 1/4" (stamps, stitching), 2 3/4" square (bubbles), Male Snail die cut
• Bermuda Bay: 2 7/8" square, scrap

To Make This Card:

• Fold Real Red card, the fold will be on the left side.
• To make the Corner Flip Fold, you will need a ruler, pencil, and your trimmer, or if you are really trimmer savvy, just cut and go! To just use your trimmer, place the shorter side of the card at the 1 ¼”  mark.  Place the blade at the 5/8” mark  and draw down to 3". Turn the card so the long side is at the 3” mark Place the blade at the  5/8" mark and cut down to the 3” mark. Carefully flip corner forward, creasing at the outside points. (Note: you may need to refold the actually card so this flips in the right directions!)
• Adhere Bermuda Bay "stitching" DSP to inside of card.
• Temporarily flip corner back.  Lay "postage stamp" DSP on front.  Make a pencil mark from corner to corner where creases are.  Trim this corner.  Adhere to card front.  Flip open card front, and carefully trim away DSP showing in the "window". Flip corner back into place and adhere corner to front of card.
• Attach Bermuda Bay and "conversation bubble" DSP to front square.  
• Fussy cut one Snali from DSP.  Attach to card over corner as shown.
• Stamp "postage stamp" in Black onto scrap of Bermuda Bay.  Punch out with new Postage Stamp Punch.  Mount to front flip with Dimensionals.  
• Cut out 1 large and 2 small "mushrooms" from scraps of Real Red.  Attach to inside of card, making sure you do not see small mushrooms in lower right corner.
• Finish with White Resin Heart.

Love the colors in this sample that I copied from fellow Glitter Gal, Susie Wood.  The base is actually a card from the Flowers For Every Season Memories and More cards!  I had them, but hadn't used them!!

Measurements:  

• Cinnamon Cider Memories and More Card base
• Ice Cream Corner DSP (N): 2 7/8" x 4:
• Basic White: 3 1/8" x 4 1/8", 2 1/8" x 4 1/8" (chick)
• Real Red: scrap

To Make This Card:

• Attach Basic White piece and DSP onto center of card base, as shown.
• Stamp Chick in Memento Black onto piece of Basic White.  Color as shown, and cur out with corresponding die.  Attach to DSP with Dimensionals.
• Die cut sentiment in Real Red.  Attach, flat, to card.

Saffron Birthday Chick

I finally sat down to play with the new Hey Chick Bundles!  And, after I created 3 cards, I realized that I had used to same Chick on all three!  Guess I have to go back to the drawing board!  Not a problem, there are some fun dies with both bundles that will inhance my creations! These are just too much fun to play with. The Hey Birthday Chick is in the new Mini Catalog, the coordinating dies, returning Hey Chick (old SAB) and new, coordinating dies are write ins, or check the SU! website for information.

Measurements:  

• So Saffron: 1/2 sheet
• Neutrals DSP Pack: Smokey Slate - 3" x 5 1/2"
• Basic White: 2 1/2" x 5 1/2", 2" x 4 1/4" (chick), 3/4" x 3 3/4" strip, scrap

To Make This Card

• Fold So Saffron card in half. Attach DSP and White piece to card front.
• Stamp Chick in Memento Black onto piece of Basic White.  Color with Blends as shown.  Cut out with coordinating die.
• Stamp sentiment near top of Basic White piece.  Add die cut directly underneath.
• Stamp sentiment in center of  Basic White strip. Punch "banner" at one end. Wrap ribbon around other end and tie with a knot.  Attach to card with Dimensionals.
• Stamp "small chick" in Memento Black onto scrap of white.  Color as shown.  Cut out with coordinating die, and attach to card as shown.

New Pastel Butterfly Z Fold

Love, Love, Love this new DSP! And those detailed butterfly dies....so beautiful!  With this card, I combined the Die Cut Butterflies from the DSP, with the detail dies cut from Vellum, to the gorgeous DSP. I just love it!  So many possibilities! Have I convinced you, yet, that you will have to have this bundle??? This bundle will be available next Tuesday, March 2nd.

Measurements:  

• So Saffron: 1/2 sheet cut LENGTHWISE, 3" x 4 1/4"
• Basic White: 2 3/4" x 4"
• Butterfly Bijou DSP (N): 4" x 5 1/4" (watercolor), 2 3/4" x 4" (watercolor),  2 1/2" x 4" (rainbow butterflies), 2 Die Cut Butterflies
• Vellum: 2" x 2 1/2"

To Make This Card

• Fold So Saffron card in half, then fold the front back against itself creating a "Z" fold.
• Attach 1/4 DSP to inside, and "Rainbow Butterflies" to front flap.
• Cut large Stitched, Scalloped Rectangle from So Saffron cardstock.  Cut next size Stitched, Scalloped Rectangle from "Watercolor DSP".  Adhere together.  Attach 1/2 to front of card.
• Die cut 2 butterflies.  Adhere the larger one to card front as shown.  Add corresponding "detail" in Vellum  
• Stamp sentiment in Calypso Coral.
• Add Basic White piece to inside behind label.  Attach smaller butterfly inside.
• Finish with scattered Artistry Blooms sequins.
