I've been wanting to try this technique for a while, so finally got to it to share at my Downline ;meeting on Sunday! It's called Layered Circles and is really fun and easy to do! Stay tuned for some more twists on this technique!
Measurements:
- Basic Black: 1/2 sheet, 1' x 4"
- Whisper White: 4" x 5 1/4"
- Cajun Craze: 3 1/8" square, scrap
- Calypso Coral:2 5/8" square, scrap
- Mango Melody: 2 18" square, scrap
- Daffodil Delight: 1 1/4" square, scap
To Make this Card:
- Cut 4 circles from 4 different colors using every other die, starting with the largest, and ending with the smallest.
- Cut each circle in half. Arrange each half by matching the far left (or right) side and having it even along the cut edge. Repeat for other half.
- Arrange on card base. I used Whisper White. You can either butt up the cut edge to the black strip of cardstock, or I actually placed the cut edge under the Black strip about 1/8".
- Then, cut out your chosen "word" from the Playful Alphabet. I mounted my pieces of cardstock to a piece of Foam Adhesive. Love that dimension!! Attach to black strip.
- Finish with some scattered gems or sequins and mount to folded Basic Black card.
- Cut 2 large and 1 small “leaf” from Copp
