Turtle Love

Here is another fun card I got on our demonstrator swap. It uses the darling Turtle Friends bundle. Notice it was stamped directly onto colored cardstock, eliminating the need to color the larger turtle.

Measurements:

Granny Apple Green: 1/2 sheet, scrap
Poppy Parade: 2 3/4" x 3 3/4"
Basic White: 2 1/2" x 3 1/2"
Pattern Party DSP (H) (N): 3 pcs @ 3/4" x 3 3/4"

To Make This Card:

Fold Granny Apple Green card in half. Stamp "hearts" in Granny Apple Green from upper right to lower left corners as shown.
Add Poppy Parade piece to lower right corner, over stamped "hearts" as shown.
Attach 3 DSP strips over Poppy Parade piece spacing them evenly.
Stamp sentiment across center of White piece.
Stamp small "turtle" in black on upper right corner. Stamp "shell" in Granny Apple Green. Color in rest of turtle with Lt Granny Apple Green Blend.
Stamp large "turtle" in black onto scrap of Granny Apple Green Stamp "shell" in Granny Apple Green ink. Punch out with Turtle Punch.
Stamp "hearts" in Poppy Parade as shown. Mount large Turtle onto the White piece, covering one "heart".
Attach the White piece to card, with Dimensionals, centering over Poppy Parade piece.
Finish with 5mm googlie eye, or punched white circle with ink dot.

Turtle Friends Fun Fold

Here is another card we designed for my stamp class at Garner! I love the Turtles and I like to design one simple Fun Fold for them to do. This is a basic "Z" fold! I used retired DSP (to use it up), but I am sure you can find a current or retired green DSP as well!! He is just so cute. And, of course, we added a googlie eye, and those cute acrylic flowers! Enjoy!!

Measurements:

Garden Green: 1/2 sheet, cut LENGTHWISE
Mint Macaron: 3" x 4"
Basic White: 4" x 5 1/4" , 2 3/4" x 3 3/4"
Garden Lane DSP (retired): 2 1/2" x 4", 1 1/4" x 4"

To Make This Card:

Fold Garden Green card base in half, and then fold the front back on itself, again, creating a "Z".
Add Basic White piece to inside.
Attach larger DSP to the front, and DSP strip on top of the White and to the right, as shown.
Stamp "Turtle" in Memento Black ink. Stamp "shell" in Garden Green ink, as well as "grass". Allow to dry. Then, color in "Turtle" in Dk Mint Macaron Blend.
Stamp sentiment of your choice, above "turtle" in Memento Black ink.
Mount onto Mint Macaron piece. Now attach LEFT half of this piece to front of card, as shown.
Finish with Pale Papaya "Loose Flowers" and a 5mm Googlie Eye!!

Turtle Friends Give It a Whirl

Here is another adorable Give It a Whirl card using the darling Turtle Friends bundle. This one uses the host Pattern Party paper. We will be doing this one in club, too. Come join us. Just please RSVP, so I have a kit for you. Kits for in person only.

Measurements:

Mango Melody: 1/2 sheet
Thick Basic White: 3 3/4" square
Basic White: scraps (scalloped circle), turtle
Pattern Play DSP (host) (N): 4" x 5 1/4" (green), 1 1/4" x 3 3/4" (stripe)

To Make This Card

Cut "whirly" base from "leafy" DSP using dies for this purpose, along with circle "window" also included!
Cut interactive "wheel" from Thick Basic White.
Place mini brad through the hole in the "whirly" base and into the "wheel". Open prongs, but not too tightly.
Place scallop circle around circle opening, hiding brad.
Line up the "creases" of the wheel in the window opening. Stamp images or sentiments of your choice in the 3 spots on the wheel. I stamped mine in Memento black, so I could color with Blends. "Give it a Whirl" to see how it looks!!
Stamp "turle" in Memento Black ink onto scrap of Basic White. Stamp the "shell detail" in Granny Apple Green ink, color the turtle with Lt Granny Apple Blend, and "tail" and "nails with the Dk Granny Apple Blend. Now, punch out with corresponding punch.
Attach stripe DSP to card front, as well as popped up "turtle.
Now you need to attach this to your card, using a variety of "dimensionals". Regular, Adhesive Strips, and Adhesive Sheets!! You want to raise up the entire piece so the "wheel" will turn, and the front will be "supported", but not so close to the wheel as it won't turn! I use only 1 layer of Dimensionals for mine, some demos use 2 - the choice is yours!
Now finish with scattered iridescent sequins and a 5mm googlie eye on the turtle.

Sweet Turtle Friend

What a darling bundle - Turtle Friends! I totally missed this one, until my customers started ordering it! Then, I had to have it, too!! This one features the Pattern Party gigantic host paper pack, the Turtle Punch, and our new Loose Flower Flourishes!

Measurements:

Granny Apple Green: 1/2 sheet
Pool Party: 2 5/8" x 3 3/4"
Basic White: 2 3/8" x 3 1/2", scraps
Pattern Party (Host) DSP (N): 4" x 5 1/4"

To Make This Card

Attach DSP to folded Granny Apple Green card.
Stamp "turtle" in Memento Black onto scrap of White. Stamp "shell detail" in stamped away Granny Apple Green. Stamp sentiment in Memento Black onto "shell".
Color "turtle" in Lt Granny Apple Green Blend, "toes" in Dk Granny Apple Green. Punch out with Turtle Punch.
Stamp "party hat" in Memento Black. Color in as shown with Lt Granny Apple Green, Dk Pool Party, and Dk Pale Papaya. Fussy cut this out.
Stamp "grass" in Granny Apple about 3/4" from bottom of White piece. Scribble in addition "grass" with Lt Granny Apple Green.
Attach White piece to Pool Party Layer, then add to card front.
Add "turtle" to White piece, on top of "grass" with Dimensionals. Add "party hat" flush on card, and on top of "turtle" head.
Stamp "bird" on "turtle" back in Pale Papaya ink.
Finish with 3 Pale Papaya Loose Flower Flourishes and a bow in Pale Papaya Open Weave Ribbon.
