What a fun color combination! The colors in the new Pumpkin Patch DSP, while interesting, really do work together! The background color is not Black, it's Secret Sea!! I just love that color! The original idea was created by Laura Seki, but of course I added my own touches!
Measurements:
- Pool Party: 1/2 sheet cut LENGTHWISE, 4 1/4" square (embossed)
- Pumpkin Patch DSP: 1" x 4" (Secret Sea print), several die cut pumpkins
- Basic White: 4" square inside
- Thick White: 3 1/2" x 4 1/2" (gate)
- Lost Lagoon: scraps
- Secret Sea: scraps
To Make this Card:
- Fold the Pool Party card base in half. Score the front @ 4 1/4" - 5 1/2". Crease the front forward at the 4 1/4" score line.
- Adhere the 1 1/4" "binding" to card.
- Next, take the Pool Party Square and emboss it with the new Rustic Check 3D Embossing Folder. Adhere to the right side of front, all cut edges even.
- Also, add the Secret Sea print strip to left side "binding".
- Now, die cut the "fence" and "gate" from the heaver White cardstock. (Mine is the regular weight, and it's a little flimsy.)
- Adhere left side of "gate" to the card front with Tear n Tape and attach the "fence" to the right with Multipurpose Glue.
- Next, die cut "hinges" and "handle" from Secret Sea and add to "gate" as shown.
- Die cut some "vines" from Lost Lagoon.
- Die cut random "pumpkins" from the DSP with the coordinating dies. Choose several of these to decorate the "gate". I also added some of the vines.
- Finish the inside with White layer and one pumpkin.
- Finish the front with a Secret Sea label, embossed in White.
