Cutest Crew Double "Z" Fold

I just love this bundle! And, I've only used the birds! I didn't want to offend anyone! This time I created one card, and colored both the puppies and kitties so that you can choose either (or both!) I found this one somewhere and saved it.  I like the little paw prints on the side, and how nicely the strip of animals fits on the cardstock strip.

Measurements:

  • Gray Granite: 1/2 sheet, 1 1/8" x 8 1/2"
  • Delicate Dreams DSP (OE): 2 pcs @ 1 7/8" x 5 1/4", 1" x 8 1/8" (Crumb Cake print)
  • Basic White: 3 1/4" square (circle), 1 1/4" x 4 1/4" strip (image), 4" x 5 1/4" inside
To Make this Card:

  • To create the base "Z" fold, fold the Gray Granite base in half, and then fold the front back on itself, so that the cut edge touches the fold.
  • Adhere one DSP piece to the front, and the other to the inside. I flipped the patterns for a little interest, but do whatever you like.
  • Before you add the White layer inside, you'll want to stamp the little paw prints along the right side in Crumb Cake ink. They really do line up quite easily.  (Another option, is to die cut the paws on a strip of a shade of brown, and add those instead).
  • Next, stamp the puppies or kitties in black ink onto a strip of White.  Color in with blends as shown.  I used pairs of "browns" and the Gold Glow colors. I also added a little Wink of Stella to flowers, scarves, tongue.  Then, die cut with corresponding die.
  • Now, die cut largest circle from the Stylish Shapes Dies from White square.
  • Stamp sentiment in Gray Granite ink, set aside.
  • Now, for the strip of cardstock.  Score at 2 1/8" - 4 1/4". Also, score the DSP strip the same.  Fold both into a "Z". Adhere together, section by section, with Multipurpose Glue.
  • Fold the strip into a "Z".  Place glue onto the wrong side of the exposed areas, then adhere onto the card front, as shown. (Note: The idea had this adhered to the center of the card, so that's what I did, but I think next time I think I'd put it a little lower.)
  • Then, center the circle onto the card front/strip, and add the strip with the "animals" so that it crosses the bottom of the circle, and lands on the center of the strip.
  • Finish with scattered 2026 InColor Dots, Iridescent Pearls on the smaller flowers and small bow in Crisp Cantaloupe.
