So, here's another sample highlighting the Blend & Alcohol Marbling Technique! This one focuses more on the Marbling! I mounted the finished piece, as usual, onto Basic White, but then cut it out with the GORGEOUS, new Scallop Contour die. Be sure to check out my video showing how to do this technique. It is SO MUCH FUN!!
Measurements:
- Granny Apple Green: 1/2 sheet, 2 3/4" x 4"
- Bermuda Bay: 4" x 5 1/4"
- Vellum: 1/4 sheet
- Basic White: 4" x 5 1/4"
To Make This Card:
- Take the 2 Darkest Blends, and randomly color all over the vellum. I place it on my silicone sheet! Now, take a paint brush or Aqua Painter or Water Brush and dab the 91% Alcohol on top of the blends. (Check out my video!) Allowing the colors to bleed. Set aside to dry, or dry with a heat tool. Note: I find it curls more if allowed to dry naturally.
- Cut Stitched Scallop from Granny Apple Green. Stamp Sentiment of your choice in Bermuda Bay ink. Set aside.
- This time I did NOT trim the Vellum piece. Just adhere it to the Basic White layer with Multipurpose "green" Glue. Then, cut out with Scallop Die. You may have to add a little glue to the scallop edges.
- Adhere the Vellum piece to the Bermudal Bay layer. Trim close to scallops, if desired. Attach to folded Granny Apple card.
- Attach Granny Apple layer to card with Dimensionals.
- Finish with color Rhinestones and a Bermuda Bay knot.
