I just got back from an AWESOME retreat in the Ozarks. Needless to say, I was up at the crack of dawn...finishing the last 5 projects of the 32 we did over the coarse of the weekend! So much fun, but no time to get online..until now.
As mentioned before, I wanted to try the Cut Triangle Flip card lengthwise. Well, here is what I came up with! I still used the Hand Penned Bundle, but cut the other orientations!
Measurements:
- Mint Macaron: 1/2 sheet cut LENGTHWISE
- Basic White: 4" x 5 1/4", scrap
- Hand Penned DSP (N): 4" x 5 1/4"
To Make This Card:
- Fold Mint Macaron card in half. Find the center of the card and place a mark. Now, cut from the "tick mark" to the upper fold. Repeat for other side. Keep cut pieces.
- Repeat with the DSP. Adhere the large triangle to the "front flap". It fits perfectly as is. Attach to card with top edge flush.
- Take the 2 trimmed triangle DSP pieces. Trim an additional 1/8" from long sides. Either use the same side or flip and use the other side! Adhere to triangles.
- Now, we will attach the "triangles" to the card. These may either be attached to show on the front, or like mine, hidden in the back. To do this, you take the same piece was trimmed and reposition it so that one point touches the bottom, one point touches the side, and the other touches the crease, as shown. Hit those points and it will lay flat. Close down the front flap, mark where the flap meets the "triangle" and place adhesive from these marks to the point and adhere to flap. Repeat with other side. Note: I found with this orientation, in order to see more of the narrow triangle, I had to angle these pieces a little bit differently, and trim off the tips.
- Stamp the "flower" in Mementp Black on scrap of White. Color with Blends as shown and cut out with coordinating die. Attach to card front with Dimensionals.
- Stamp sentiment in Black onto scrap of White. Cut out with label die from the Floral Gallery Dies
- Finish with bow of Pool Party ribbon. Add a little Wink of Stella, if desired.
