Welcoming Woods meets Nature's Beauty

I've been trying to create with sets I got for "fall" and still haven't used before I transition to Christmas!!  I love the Welcoming Woods stamp set, because it can be used for both!!  It transitions well with me!  For this card, I used the Tidings of Christmas DSP from the Annual Catalog along with the new Welcoming Woods and old Nature's Beauty stamp sets!  The Welcoming Woods is so versatile and you'll discover why the Nature's Beauty has been left if our collection!.  You need to check these sets out!

Measurements:

  • Gray Granite: 1/2 sheet, 3 1/2" x 4 3/8"
  • Basic White: 3 1/4" x 4 1/8", 2 1/4" x 2 3/8"
  • Tidings of Christmas DSP: 4" x 5 1/4"
To Make This Card:

  • Fold Gray Granite card in half, and attach DSP layer.
  • Stamp "trees" in Gray Granite onto White piece, near the top cut edge.
  • Lightly sponge Misty Moonlight ink through trees, leaving "ground" white.
  • Stamp "snowflakes" in stamped off Misty Moonlight through the trees.  Attach to Gray Granite piece.
  • Now, stamp "fox" in Gray Granite ink in center of square, with its' ears near the top. Stamp sentiment in Basic Gray in the center of the square, over the "fox".
  • Draw a pencil line above the sentiment, parallel with the bottom of the message. Cut across the pencil line, around the top of the "fox" and across the other pencil mark.  Neat, huh!  Erase any remaining pencil lines.
  • Wrap ribbon around the layers and tie in a knot.  Attach this piece to card front with Dimensionals.
  • Attach sentiment and fox to card, over ribbon with Dimensionals.
  • FInish with scattered Snowflake Sequins or blue sequins from the Artistry Blooms collection.

Autumn Welcoming Woods

I recently saw a card using this awesome stamp set, Welcoming Trees, stamped on the FREE, SAB DSP, Peaceful Prints. I thought that was a unique idea, so I decided to try one myself!  In addition to stamping directly onto the "birch" paper, I also made an "ink pad" with baby wipes for the "fall leaves".  I really like how it turned out!

Measurements:

  • Pumpkin Pie: 1/2 sheet, 1 1/4" x 2 1/2"
  • Basic White: 1 1/4" x 2 1/2"
  • Cajun Craze: 4" x 5 1/4"
  • Peaceful Prints DSP (SAB): 3 3/4" x 5"
To Make This Card:

  • Fold Pumpkin Pie card in half, and attach Cajun Craze layer.
  • Stamp "trees" in Sahara Sand ink directly onto DSP.
  • Create your own multicolor ink pad, but adding drops of fall reinker colors onto a folded baby wipe.  Smoosh the colors together a little and ink up "leaves".  Add more reinker color, if necessary.  I used Daffodil Delight, Pumpkin Pie, Cajun Craze, and Cinnamon Cider.
  • Attach DSP to card.
  • Stamp sentiment in Cajun Craze and die cut with smallest stitched rectangle.  Mount onto Pumpkin Pie layer.  Add to card as shown.
  • Finish with bow in Cajun Craze bakers twine (ret) and scattered Artistry Blooms Sequins.
