I'm sure many of you have tried making a shaker card, but have you ever tried a TULLE Shaker Card? I was looking for ideas for the darling SAB set, Counting Sheep, and discovered this idea! I love that it uses so many of the Sheep dies. It has so much dimension!! Totally fun. Thanks to Mom for cutting out all the pieces. Makes the assembly go a lot faster!!
Measurements:
- Basic White: 1/2 sheet, 4" x 5 1/4", scraps for sheep/clouds
- Crumb Cake: 1 1/2" x 3"
- Daffodil Delight: scrap
To Make This Card:
- Select circle die that is a little smaller that the width of your tulle (netting). Temporarily adhere the White layer on top of front of folded White card. Cut chosen circle through both layers. Separate these pieces, and toss the circles (or use them for pieces, if they fit).
- Take the folded card and place adhesive entirely around the circle opening. Attach square of Tulle and add more adhesive over tulle and round opening.
- Add desired amount of "shaker" material on top of the tulle. I used our new Shaker Shapes!
- Now, take the White layer and place adhesive on wrong side around the circle opening and around outside edges of card. Line up circles and adhere...and your shaker component is done!!
- Stamp 3 "sheep" onto scraps of White cardstock. Cut out with corresponding dies and color as shown. Add color, where desired.
- Also die cut a Daffodil "sun", 2 "clouds", and a Crumb Cake "fence".
- Set the "walking sheep" aside, and arrange the rest of the pieces on the front of the card, as desired. I DID pop up the sheep.
- Now, open the card, and pop up the remaining "sheep" in the "window". I decided to add the Birthday sentiment to the inside instead of cramming it onto the front.
- And, voila, your card is done!
