Cottage Rose Larger Panel Standing Gate Fold Card

Susan Campfield had another version of the Standing Gate Fold Card, with a wider front panel.  This gives this fold a totally different look!  Use this version when your card front or stamped images need a wider base! I just love this card!  You have to see it IRL!

Measurements:

  • Crumb Cake: 5 1/2" x 8" (gate fold), 4 1/4" x 5 1/2" (base), 3 1/2" x 5 1/2" (top layer)
  • Abigail Rose DSP (N) (AC): 2 pcs @ 3/4" x 5 1/4", 1 pc 1 1/4" x 5 1/4" (base, outside right panel) - crumb cake print), 2 pcs @ 1" x 5 1/4" (inside fold panels - espresso print), 3" x 5" (top layer - tulip print), 1 1/4" x 3 3/4" (sentiment - petal pink stripe)
  • Early Expresso: 3 1/4" x 5 1/4"
  • Basic White: 2 pcs @1 1/8" x 2 1/2"
  • Gold Foil: scraps
To Make This Card:

  • Score card at 1 1/2"" - 2 3/4" from each end. Accordion fold. Crease well with Bone Folder.
  • Attach the 2 - 3/4" pieces to the outer edges of the card "base".
  • Adhere the folded piece to this "base".  It DOES overlap the DSP strips, and goes from top to bottom.
  • Adhere the 2 - 1" pieces to the inside folds, and the 1 - 1 1/4" DSP piece to the front, RIGHT outside panel.
  • Take the "tulip" DSP piece and select one "tulip" to color with Petal Pink Blends.  This is called "Spotlighting.
  • Next layer all the 3 front pieces together.
  • Place adhesive on LEFT front outside panel and center front piece over folded card, and attach to the left side.  This piece will extend about 1/4" from the wrong side.  It should.
  • Attach Pink Stripe to front panel as shown.
  • Cut 2 small, wide "banners" from Basic White.
  • Stamp sentiments of your choice on the "banners" in Early Espresso ink.  Attach one to the front of card with Dimensionals over Pink Stripe, attach the other one to the inside, on the front, RIGHT outside panel, as shown.
  • Lastly, cut out 2 gold foil flowers and adhere to the front of the card, and under the inside sentiment as shown!
