Gnome on a Wreath

This adorable gnome isn't just for Christmas!  Thanks to another creative demonstrator, I am sharing my version of Arrange a Wreath and Gnome!!

Measurements:

  • Gorgeous Grape: 1/2 sheet, scraps
  • Highland Heather: 4" x 5 1/4", scraps
  • Whisper White: 3 3/4" x 5", 2 1/2" square (label), 2 1/8" x 2 1/2" (gnome)
  • Pear Pizzazz: 3 3/4" square
  • Old Olive: 3 3/4" square
  • Mossy Meadow: 3 3/4" square

To Make this Card:

  • Run larger White piece through Subtles EF. Then, adhere all layers to folded Gorgeous Grape card.
  • Cut 1 "berry" Wreath from Old Olive, and 1-each "smooth" Wreath from Pear Pizzazz and Mossy Meadow. Layer together onto card, leaving room for "scalloped rectangle" message.
  • Cut 2 large "flowers" from Gorgeous Grape and one "flower" from Highland Heather (or any combination that appeals to you). You will also need smaller flowers for the centers. Assemble all together with Mini Glue Dots.
  • Stamp "Gnome" in Black Memento ink onto piece of white. Color with Blends as shown, and then fussy cut it out. Stamp his "hat" onto a scrap, cut it out, and trace onto coordinating DSP of your choice.  Then cut out and use this piece.  (Doing this eliminates the snowflakes from his hat).
  • Arrange "Gnome" and flowers as desired on the Wreath. I attached them with Mini Stampin' Dimensionals.
  • Stamp message in Gorgeous Grape onto piece of white.  Cut out with Scalloped Rectangle Die. Sponge arround edges with a Sponge Dauber and Grape ink. Attach to card under Wreath.
  • Finish with a knot of Tricolor Ribbon and some Purple Rhinestones (retired).

Flocked Poinsettia Slimline Card

Here is one of the cards we would have done at Stamp Club yesterday.  Club members will still get this card in their order!!  I am loving the Slimline cards. You have so much surface to work with.  And, the Poinsettia Dies match beautifully with the Plush Poinsettia Specialty paper!!  You get a lot of mileage, as the entire sheet can be die cut!!  This coordinates beautifully with the Red & Green Foil papers.  Can you tell I'm a "bling" girl!  I love elegant cards!  Enjoy!!

Measurements:

  • Whisper White: 7" x 8 1/2", strip 7/8" x 3 1/4"

  • Plush Poinsettia Specialty Paper (N): Design - 1 3/4" x 8 1/2", 2 - Poinsettias
  • Brass Foil (N) (AC): scraps

To Make this Card:

  • Score card along 7" edge at 3 1/2" crease.
  • Attach "Plush Design" to strip of Red Foil. Adhere to front of card.
  • Cut out 2 Green Foil "leaves", 2 Red Foil "sprigs", 2 Brass "centers", and 2 Plush "poinsettias".  Arrange on card, as desired.
  • Stamp message from Poinsettia Petals onto strip of white.  I fashioned the pointed ends, to see more of the Red Foil.  Mount on the Red Foil piece. and attach to card.

Arrange a Wreath Noel

I'm b-a-c-k!!  I apologize for being "silent" the last 2 weeks.  I was called upon to wear my other "hat".  I've spent the last 2 weeks substituting for a PRESCHOOL teacher (remember I taught High School) who has Covid!!  Teaching 13 4-year olds is EXHAUSTING!!  And, I'm not done, yet!  I have a full day on Monday, and then we'll see..  Perhaps half days.  Whatever I can do to help!  So, today is World Cardmaking Day!  I hope you'll take some time today to make some cards!!  I am participating in a Virtual Event with 12 other demonstrators throughout Iowa.  My presentation (which is taped) will be at 2:00 pm CDT.  Here is the card that I will be showing!

Measurements:

  • Real Red: 1/2 sheet cut LENGTHWISE
  • Whisper White: 4" x 5 1/4", 4 1/8" square
  • 'Tis The Season DSP (N): 4" square
  • Red Velvet Paper (N): 3 3/4" square, scraps
  • Vellum: 3 3/4" square
  • Red & Green Foil (N) : green scraps

To Make this Card:

  • Trim 1 1/4" from front of folded Real Red card. Attach layers to front of trimmed card, and white inside piece to inside of card.
  • Use 3rd largest circle to cut an opening in the front of card.  Discard this piece.
  • Cut "berry" Wreath from Vellum square and "leafy" Wreath from Red Velvet Paper.  Set center of Red Velvet piece aside.
  • Use Multipurpose Glue to carefully glue both wreaths to opening.
  • Adhere Red Velvet scraps to pieces of Foam Adhesive.  Cut out with word of your choice. Adhere to opening on right side of card.
  • At this point you are done, except for the embellishing! I cut small "sprigs" from Green Foil to scatter in the Wreath, around the word, and inside the card.  I added small Red Rhinestones near the sprigs, and Basic Pearls to the front.
  • Finish with a greeting in Real Red ink, stamped through the opening.
