Stunning Sympathy

And, the craziness continues!  This week I am teaching!!  So, I will probably be sharing more cards from our awesome retreat a week ago in the Ozarks! This is a simple, but elegant, sympathy card using the gorgeous, new Simply Elegant DSP.

Measurements:   

• Basic White: 1/2 sheet, 2 1/2" square
• Simply Elegant DSP (N): 4" x 5 1/4" (copper floral), 2" x 4 1/4" (pattern)

To Make this Card

• Attach DSP to folded white card.
• Cut "label" from the pattern piece using our new Tailor Made Tags. Thread small piece of Gold Ribbon through opening and tie together with a piece of black twine.  Attach this piece, flat to card, as shown.
• Stamp sentiment in Basic Gray onto White square.  Cut out with  Circle Die. Attach to card, as shown, with Dimensionals.

Sweet Strawberry Fun Fold

This was another Shoebox Swap from last weekend designed by one of my Stampin' Sisters from Des Moines. (A shoebox swap means she designed, cut and prepared the card, but I got to actually put it together!) This was a cute card that uses the Sweet Strawberry Bundle and the awesome Pretty Patterns Host DSP.  

 

Measurements:   

• Poppy Parade: 1/2 sheet, 3" x 4"
• Pretty Patterns (Host) DSP (N):2 3/4" x 5"
• Granny Apple Green: , 3" x 5 1/4", 2 7/8" square
• Basic White: 4" x 5 1/4", 2 3/4" square, scraps

To Make this Card

• Trim 1" from front of folded Poppy Parade card. Toss this piece.
• Score smaller Poppy Parade piece, along 4" side at 1".  Crease well with Bone Folder.. Attach the 1" section to center of long, cut edge of inside White piece, then attach to inside of card.
• Attach larger Granny Apple piece to front of card, followed by DSP.
• Stamp sentiment in Memento Black onto White square.  Also stamp "blossoms" onto this piece, as well as the inside White piece.
• Stamp off 3 "strawberry" bases in Poppy Parade.  Add "outline", full strength in Poppy Parade. Punch with Strawberry Punch. 
• Stamp off 3 "stems" in Granny Apple Green. Add "outline", full strength in Granny Apple Green.  Punch from Strawberry Punch.
• Stamp off 1 "blossom" in Balmy Blue.  Add "outline", full strength in Balmy Bliue. Alsoi Punch out from Srawberry Punch.
• Attach one "strawberry" flat to White square, add the other 2 with Dimensionals.
• Add "blossom", where desired with Dimensional.

Shirt (and Pants)

This was one of our other Shoebox Swaps from one of my Stampin' Sisters in Des Moines.  I love the combination of the "shirt" and "pants".  I really need to play with this more!  The Well Suited Bundle is in the new catalog, but the awesome coordinating paper is NOT!

Measurements:   

• Night of Navy: 1/2 sheet
• Well Suited DSP (N): 4" x 5 1/4", scraps
• Smokey Slate: 7/8" x 4", scraps
• Basic Black: scraps
• Gold Foil: scraps

To Make this Card

• Attach DSP of your choice to folded Night of Navy card. Cut out "placket", "collar", and "pocket" as well, and assemble onto "shirt front" as shown.
• Attach "placket" to "front".
• Attach Smokey Slate piece to bottom.  
• Cut out Gold Foil "belt buckle" and thread through black "belt", cut from placket/suspender die.  Attach to Gray piece. Lastly, cut and attach 4 Smokey Slate "belt loops.
• Finish by adding "collar" and "pocket" to front with Dimensionals, as well as 5 "buttons" cut from Black cardstock.

Wedding Card

Today is THE big day! Here is the card that I made for them, thanks to fellow Glitter Gal, Christi Redding's, inspiration. Uses a multiple of retired items, sorry! Wish I had gotten the new Elegantly Said Bundle earlier. That hindsight, you know! It's on its' way! Catch ya tomorrow!!

Tranquil Thoughts

Here is another beautiful card from one of my Glitter Gals, Jeanette Proenneke. This one uses the Tranquil Thoughts Bundle in the Current Mini Catalog, but get it now, it's about to be retired!!

Measurements:   

• Daffodil Delight 1/2 sheet 
• Bermuda Bay: 1/4 sheet
• Melon Mambo: scrap
• Basic White: 1 1/2" x 2" (sentiment), scraps (flowers, leaves)

To Make this Card

• Ink "palm leaf" corner with Bermuda Bay ink, then cut out from coordinating cardstock.  Repeat with single leaf "frame" with Melon Mambo and coordinating Melon Mambo cardstock.Attach to folded Daffodil Delight card as shown.
• Stamp 5 "leaves" in Granny Apple Green. Cut out with coordinating die.
• Then stamp large flowers and single flower in Gorgeous Grape, and single flower and flower stem in Melon Mambo. Cut out all with cooresponding dies. 
• Stamp sentiment in Mango Melody onto White rectangle.  Attach to card with Dimensionals. Add die cut pieces to card as shown.
• Finish with Wink of Stella on flowers and pearls in center of flowers. (Oops! I need to go back and do this.)

Rainbow Butterflies

This beautiful card was designed by Glitter Gal, and my aunt, Marcia Evers.  It is really pretty in person!  It uses our gorgeous Rainbow Glimmer Paper, and adds some nice texture with the Ornate Floral EF.

Measurements:   

• Basic White: 1/2 sheet cut LENGTHWISE, 3 3/4" x 5", scrap
• Soft Seafoam: 4" x 5 1/4", 2 pcs - 3" x 4"
• Rainbow Glimmer: 2 1/4" strip

To Make this Card

• Attach Seafoam piece to folded White base.
• Run White piece through Ornate Floral EF. Attach to Seafoam Layer.
• Cut 2 "ferns" in Soft Seafoam from the Forever Flourish Dies.Attach one "fern" to upper left of card. Attach part of 2nd "fern" to the the bottom of the first fern, pointing down, extending it.
• Cut 2 Butterflies from the Rainbow Glimmer paper. Carefully shape wings with bone folder, if desired.  Attach over "fern", where desired, with Mini Glue Dots.
• Stamp sentiment in Mint Macaron. Cut out with label die from the Ornate Frames. Sponge edges with Mint Macaron ink. Attach to card, at lower right corner, with Dimensionals.
• Finish with Clear Elegant Gems for the butterfly "heads". and scattered frosty gems.
