Candy Corn Gnome

I love gnomes, and when I saw a version of this darling "candy corn" gnome I just knew I had to try it!  I LOVE how it turned out!

Measurements:

  • Pumpkin Pie: 1/2 sheet, 3 3/4" x 5", 2 1/2" square (pumpkin), scraps
  • Basic White: 4" x 5 1/4", 3 1/4" x 4 3/4", scraps
  • Crushed Curry: scraps
To Make This Card:
  • Attach larger, White piece to folded Pumpkin Pie card.
  • Cut Pumpkin Pie layer with Deckled Rectangle Die.  Also cut medium White piece with smaller Deckled Rectangle Die. Layer together, and attach to card
  • Stamp "pumpkin" from Hello Harvest in Pumpkin Pie ink onto PUmpkin Pie cardstock.  Cut out with corresponding die.
  • Die cut "beard" and one hat from White cardstock.
  • Die cut "nose", "feet", and "hat" from Pumpkin Pie cardstock.
  • Die cut "hat" from Crushed Curry cardstock.
  • Attach Crushed Curry "hat" to the "beard" where shown on die cut.  Add "nose" and "feet".
  • Using the Crushed Curry "base" lay the Pumpkin Pie "hat" on top and determine where to trim this piece so it is about 1/8" above the nose.  Cut with snips and attach to "hat".
  • Repeat with the white piece, leaving around 3/8" of the Pumpkin strip showing.  Note: there are other ways to do attempt this, I felt that this was the easiest.
  • Arrange "pumpkin" and assembled "gnome" onto card, as desired.  I attached the "pumpkin" flat, and the "gnome" popped up with Dimensionals.
  • Finish with Iridescent Pearls colored with dk Pumpkin Pie Blend, and a bow from colored (with Pumpkin Pie Blend) Crinkled White Seam Binding.

  • Blushing Bride: scraps
  • Basic White: 1 1/2" x 5 1/4" (scallops), scraps
To Make This Card:
  • Attach DSP stripes to folded Soft Seafoam card.
  • Cut 2 White "scallops" from Apple Blossom Dies, attach above and below DSP with Multipurpose Glue.
  • Cut 2 "branches" fro Soft Suede.  Attach to card in a "V" as shown.
  • Stamp 2 single "apples" in Soft Seafoam onto strip of Soft Seafoam cardstock. Cut out with corresponding die and attach to card "branch".  One is flat and the overlapping one is attached with Dimensionals.
  • Cut out 3 larger "blossoms" from Basic White.  Add a little color to the centers with Blushing Bride and a sponge.  Attach to card as shown with Mini Glue Dots
  • Cut out 6 "flower centers" from Blushing Bride cardstock.  Attach 2 to center of each blossom, staggering points.
  • Cut 3 large and 3 small "leaves" from Mint Macaron.  Add to "blossoms".

Fall Gnome Book Binding Card

I saw several versions of this layout that uses the pumpkin and sunflowers from Hello Harvest, and one of the Gnomes from Kindest Gnomes. I decided to make mine a Book Binder Card! I also used the Gingham Cottage DSP , Gingham Embossing Folder, and many, many Blends!  I just LOVE how it turned out!

Measurements:

  • Pumpkin Pie: 1/2 sheet cut LENGTHWISE
  • Gingham Cottage (N): 4" square
  • Regals 6x6 DSP Pack: 1" x 4"
  • So Saffron: 3" square
  • Basic White: 4" square (inside), scraps (for images)
To Make This Card:

  • Fold Pumpkin Pie card in half. Score the front flap 1 1/4" from fold.  Crease well.
  • Attach this 1 1/4" to card with Tear Tape.
  • Attach Gingham DSP to front and 1" DSP to "binding".
  • Run So Saffron square through Gingham Embossing Folder.  Attach to card, "on point" as shown.
  • Attach DSP to folded Early Espresso card.
  • Stamp "pumpkin" and "sunflowers" from Hello Harvest and small gnome from Kindest Gnomes onto piece of white.
  • Color and shade with Blends and cut out with corresponding dies.
  • To assemble, flip over "sunflowers" and attach to "pumpkin" matching "opening" of "sunflowers" to "stem" of  "pumpkin.  Add "gnome" over "sunflowers" with Dimensionals.  This will cover some of the sunflowers. Note: before glueing to So Saffron square, make sure everything fits!
