Trimming the Town Faker Shaker

Our semi-annual demonstrator gathering was a few weeks ago, but virtual this year. One of the presenters shared this oldie, but goodie - Faker Shaker! This is my take on her technique using a clear envelope and snowflake sequins!! All this details are over on my blog. I LOVE this Trimming the Town DSP, but then I love all those little houses! The card is an adaptaion of one I saw online, but the shaker design is all mine! Enjoy!! Give it a try!!

Measurements:

  • Seaside Spray: 1/2 sheet
  • Whisper White: 3 1/4" x 5 1/4"
  • Thick Whisper White: scraps
  • Trimming the Town DSP (N): 4 " x 5 1/4" (snowflakes), various houses, church

To Make This Card:

  • Cut "tree slope" from Whisper White piece.  Line up trees near the top of the cardstock.
  •  Fussy cut “church” from DSP with “mountains”. Color in “windows” with a yellow Blend.
  • From “house” DSP – cut 1 long house,1 large tree and 1 small tree.
  •  Stamp “car” and “wreath” on scrap of Thick White.  Color and cut with coordinating dies. (I hand punched the center of the “wreath” before I cut it out)
  • Arrange all pieces as desired.  Stamp “lamppost” as shown.  Color in “light” with a yellow Blend.
  • Select greeting from DSP sheet with multiple greetings. Cut out with scissors and adhere to card front. ·        ·
  • Slide card into clear envelope.  Pour in glitter, sequins, etc of your choice in front of card.  Seal tightly at the end, then fold back the side so it sits tightly as well.  Tape closed.  ·          ·
  • Attach to card securely.  (I put the adhesive on the folded Seaside Spray card).  ·
