The stamp set, Blessings of Home, is a new stamp set we could pre-order for our OnStage at Home stamping projects. The stamps are gorgeous. We made 3 cards, which I need to share, but my Mom wanted to play with it, too. She had a totally different take on the stamps than what we did. I love the elegance of embossing on vellum with a touch of gold foil. So, here is a sample, again, from my Mom!
Measurements:
- Basic Black: 1/2 sheet
- Gold Foil: 4 1/8" x 5 3/8", (2 5/8" x 3 3/4")
- Heart & Home DSP (N): 3 1/2" x 4 5/8" (wood grain)
- Vellum: 2 pcs @ 2 3/4" x 4"
- Basic White: 2 5/8" x 3 3/4"
To Make this Card:
- Cut Gold "label" from center of Gold Layer, using the Stitched So Sweetly dies.. Set aside. Now, attach the gold foil layer to folded Basic Black card.
- Attach DSP layer over opening in gold layer.
- Stamp sentiment in black onto Basic White piece. Cut out with same label die.
- Split gold label in half, lengthwise to create a layer, and add to front of card.
- Now, emboss 2 smaller "flowers" in gold embossing powder onto vellum. Cut out with corresponding die. One is a full flower, one flower is trimmed smaller - remvoing stem.
- Color images with blends, as shown. You can color from the back side, making a more "stained glass" look, or from the front.
- Attach these to the card with Dimensionals, and you're done!
