Leave it to Sue Campfield to come up with a creative twist to a Mounted Double Gate Fold! She calls it a Double Stack Display Card, or a "Free Standing Card". I did pretty much copy one of her many ideas, this first try. Stay tuned to more samples! This fold is really awesome, and easy to do...once you have the measurements! So, stay tuned!
Measurements:
- Basic White: 1/4 sheet (base), 4 1/4" x 11" (card), 3 1/2" x 3 3/4", scraps
- Gorgeous Grape: 3 1/2" x 3 3/4", 3 3/4" x 4"
- Perennial LavPender DSP (ret): 2 pcs @ 3/4" x 4" (purple print), 3 1/4" x 3 1/2" (purple watercolor), 3 1/4" x 3 1/2" (corner print)
To Make This Card:
- Score "card" at 2" & 3 3/4" from each end. Accordion fold each end. Crease well.
- Place the 3/4" DSP strips on the "base" (post card piece). One each end.
- Next, place adhesive on the larger, bottom of the card. Center this piece between the DSP strips and adhere to this "post card" base.
- Now, to do the "overlapping" pieces!
- There are only 2 layers to the "back" layers. Take the smaller Gorgeous Grape layer, and the "watercolor" layer and adhere together.
- Attach to the "right gate", making sure that the cut edge of the Grape piece does not overlap the card crease. Adhere.
- Then, let's create the top layers. For this she make 3 layers. So, attach the White and DSP to the larger Grape layer.
- Next, Attach it to the "left gate" centering over "right gate" pieces, too!
- Let's finish with some sentiments. These come from the So Sincere stamp set. And are stamped in Gorgeous Grape ink.
- The "labels" are from the Thoughtful Expressions Dies!
- Finish with a couple Brass Butterflies, and scattered Purple Fine Shimmer Gems.
