A Little Bit Festive Spanner Card

So, I was trying to figure out a design for the long "ornaments" die cut, and remembered a recent card I had made with the Spanner design.  I LOVE how it turned out (a Becky "original"!)

Measurements:

  • Cherry Cobbler: 1/2 sheet cut LENGTHWISE, 1" x 4 1/4" (bridge)
  • Basic White: 2" x 5 1/4" (front), 2 1/4" x 5 1/4" (inside), scrap
  • A Little Bit Festive DSP (N): 2 pcs @ 7/8" x 5 1/4"(outside), 2 pcs @ 1" x 5 1/4" (front panel), 3/4" x 4" (bridge) - (Evergreen print); Trio of Ornaments Die Cut
To Make This Card:

  • Fold Cherry Cobbler card in half.  Crease well.  Now, cut from cut edge to fold 1" on each side.
  • Attach narrow "Evergreen" strips to these pieces.
  • Run smaller White piece through Embossing Folder of your choice. I used the Exposed Brick.
  • Attach this to the top center section.
  • Attach smaller "Evergreen" piece to the Cherry Cobbler "bridge".
  • Add "bridge" to front of card, adhering only the areas that will touch the outside sides. Voila you have your Bridge Span.
  • Color the bottom portion of the sentiment from the Sentimental Wishes stamps with Cherry Cobbler Stampin' Write Marker.. Stamp onto scrap of White and die cut with long die from the Changing Leaves Dies.
  • For the inside of your card, first adhere the White piece, then attach the wider DSP pieces so they butt up to the White piece as shown.
  • Add die cut "ornaments" to center front with Dimensionals.  Add Cherry Cobbler bow and gold, retired Festive Pearls.
