I just love these evergreen trees! They were a last minute add to my collection this winter, as I could see many uses into the New Year!! So, some nice versatility! The DSP papers I used were from the Winter Meadow DSP, which is so soft and gorgeous. I'm so glad that they kept it for another year. And if you look closely, you will see the background layer is embossed with the new Painted Trees embossing folder!
Measurements:
- Pretty Peacock: 1/2 sheet, 3" x 4"
- Lost Lagoon: 4 1/8" x 5 3/8"
- Basic White: 2 pcs @ 4" x 5 1/4"
- Winter Meadow DSP: 1 3/4" x 5 1/4", 1/2" x 5 1/4" (Pretty Peacock watercolor), 2 3/4" x 3 3/4" (Lost Lagoon watercolor)
To Make This Card
- Attach Lost Lagoon piece to folded Pretty Peacock card base.
- Adhere Peacock DSP piece to left side of one White layer. Emboss this with the new Painted Forest 3D Embossing Folder. Set aside.
- Now, take the Lost Lagoon DSP piece and randomly stamp the 3 Evergreen trees directly onto the DSP with Pretty Peacock ink. I started with the largest tree, stamped off and stamped one more time, I, then, repeated with the 2 smaller trees as well. This creates a gorgeous focal point!
- Stamp sentiment of your choice in Pretty Peacock ink, and attach this to the Pretty Peacock layer.
- Next, adhere this layer to card front with Dimensionals.
- Now take 18" of Silver & White Sheer Ribbon, thread it under the layer on the card front, and wrap it around the embossed, white layer, and tie in a bow. Now, you can adhere the White layer to the card front.
- Finish inside with other White layer, and strip of DSP.
- Finish the front with scattered Iridescent Faceted Gems.
