Unique Star Pocket Gate Fold Card

Lavonne Schwendeman created a set of 8 Gatefold Pocket cards using the October POTM - Shining Stars - paired with the Creative Celebrations Mix & Match DSP and Season of Celebration Ephemera Pack. These Mix and Match items are so much fun to create with! You really need to give them a try!

Measurements:

Real Red: 1/2 sheet, 2 1/8" square (pocket)
Basic White: 4" x 5 1/4" (inside), 2" square (pocket)
Thick Basic White: 4 3/4" square (star tag)
Creative Celebrations Mix & Match DSP (N): 4" square (Star tag), 1 3/4" square (pocket) - Real Red Check; 2 pcs @ 2" x 5 1/4", 1/2" x 4" (inside) - Peaceful Pine Stripe, lg wreath, small wreath tag

To Make This Card:

Score the Real Red base 2 1/8" from each end. (I usually score one end, and meet the opposite side to the center, cut edge.
Adhere the Green Stripe pieces to those "gates".
Attach the White layer to the inside.
Die cut the second from the largest Star from Thick White cardstock. Cut the Red Check layer from the 3rd from the largest. Adhere together.
Then, adhere the die cut "wreath" and a sentiment from the Season of Celebration Ephemera Pack to the star.
Make a 1/8" hole in the top of the star, and add a piece of new, Multicolor Christmas Baker's Twine.
Create the pockets on the "gates" by cutting the 3 square layers diagonally. Then, layer them all together. I popped mine up with Mini Dimensionals, ( but I think I would use Foam Adhesive Strips, or the edges from Dimensionals, as the point of the star are wanting to slip ouit!)
Continue decorating front with stickers from the Ephemera Pack.
Finish the inside with a strip of Green Stripe DSP, and the small tag with the matching "wreath".
