Mango Tulip Modified Cut Apart Card + Video

Here is the version of the Modified Cut Apart Card that I did for my Friday Video this week! It still uses the Flowerin Rain Boots bundle but, instead, I used the Flowering Fields DSP for the paper (duh)!  I love how it turned out.  Be sure to check out my corresponding video on YouTube.

Measurements:

  • Mango Melody: 4 1/4" x 10", 2 3/4" x 4"
  • Basic White: 4" x 5 1/4", 2" x 3 1/4", scraps
  • Flowering Fields DSP (N): 2 pcs @ 2" x 4"
To Make this Card:

  • Score Mango base at 2 1/4" from each end. Attach DSP strips.
  • Attach While layer to inside
  • Cut Stitched Scallop Rectangle from Mango Melody piece.
  • Stamp 2 "flower pots" in Basic Gray, stamp "stems" in Soft Succulent, and stamp your flowers in Mango Melody.  Cut out with corresponding dies.
  • Cut "stems" apart.  You can tell where you need to cut. Cut the "flowers" apart in the same place.
  • Attach "stems" to "flower pot" and "tulips" to "stems".
  • Attach to Scallop Rectangle with Dimensionals.
  • Close card, and lay rectangle in place.  Attach upper portion to top of card. (You might need to close with a Clear Velcro Dot.)
  • Add other pot, trimmed, smaller stem and flowers to inside. BE SURE YOU CAN'T SEE IT WHEN THE CARD IS CLOSED.
  • Finish with scattered Rhinestones. (I used the retiring Holiday ones)

Watering Can of Flowers

I was looking for a sample that used some of the other stamps and dies in the Flowering Rain Boot Bundle. In this sample, I've used the new Gingham Embossing Folder, along with the "trellis", watering can, and our darling Brass Butterflies!  I love how it turned out!

Measurements:

  • Gorgeous Grape: 1/2 sheet
  • Highland Heather: 4" x 5 1/4", 1 1/4" x 4 1/2"
  • Fresh Freesia: 1 1/4" x 4 1/2"
  • Basic White: 4" x 5 1/4" (inside), 3 1/4" x 4 1/4", scraps
To Make This Card:
  • Run the Highland Heather layer through the Gingham Embossing Folder.  Attach to folded Gorgeous Grape card.
  • Stamp "watering can" in Smoky Slate, "tulip stems" in Granny Apple Green, "flowers" in Gorgeous Grape onto Basic White scraps.  Cut out with corresponding dies.
  • Cut one "trellis" from Fresh Freesia and one from Highland Heather.
  • Adhere these "trellis" strips onto the White Layer in an appealing manner.
  • Carefully cut the "stems" apart into 2 "clusters".  You can see where you need to do this.
  • Adhere the largest piece to the White layer in the lower right corner. (look at pix).
  • Lay the "watering can" over glued "stems" to determine where to place the other ones.  Attach to card.
  • Now, add the "flowers" to the top of the "watering can".  Add Dimensionals too the "watering" can and "flowers". Adhere to card over "stems" and "trellis".
  • Stamp sentiment in Gorgeous Grape ink.
  • Now, attach White layer to card.
  • Finish with tiny Brass Butterflies, and add White piece to inside.
