Painted Pumpkins meets Radiant Sunflowers

I fell in love with this card designed by Mikaela Titheredge.  I just LOVE the color combination she chose, as well as the stamp sets that she combined together!  They are just perfect! Also, check out the background Embossing Folder.  I totally missed these in the July OnLine Release!  It's 3 awesome Mini Embossing Folders, called Seasonal Cheer!

Measurements:

  • Pretty Peacock: 1/2 sheet, 4" x 5 1/4"
  • Crumb Cake: 3 1/2" x 4"
  • Daffodil Delight 2-Tone Cardstock: scraps
  • Pumpkin Pie 2-Tone Cardstock: scraps
  • Pecan Pie 2-Tone Carstock: scraps
  • Early Espresso: scraps
  • Old Olive: scraps
  • Granny Apple Green: scraps
  • Basic White 4" x 5 1/4" (inside), 3/4" x 3 3/4"
To Make This Card:

  • Run Pretty Peacock layer through the Leaves from the Seasonal Cheer Mini Embossing Folders. Since it is a mini folder, you will need to run it through 2x (the patterns  will not match).
  • Adhere to folded Pretty Peacock card base.
  • Die cut "gate" from Crumb Cake.  Remove the left "post" piece, then adhere to the card front center.
  • Die cut 2 Old Olive "Sunflower" stems and 1 in Granny Apple Green. Also, die cut 2 "vine" pieces from Old Olive.  Set aside
  • Next, die cut 3 smaller "Sunflowers" from the 2-Tone Daffodil cardstock.  I cut 2 "light" and 2 "dark", you choose which 3 you want on your card.
  • Die cut lg "pumpkin" from dark side of Pumpkin Pie, and the 2 smaller "pumpkins" from the lighter side.
  • Lastly, die cut 3 flower centers from Pecan Pie, and one "handle" and "stems" from Early Espresso.
  • Now, to assemble it all!
  • I started with the large pumpkin (w/stem) near the bottom of the gate, popped up with Dimensionals.
  • Then, tuck in 1 "sunflower" stem, for the lowest "sunflower. Then, I added another off to the left, and the last, actually looks like it's hanging in mid-air until you get the "sunflowers" on it!
  • Add the flower centers to the "sunflowers".  I also added a little Wink of Stella to those centers.  Then, add to the "stems" with Dimensionals.
  • Now, add the "medium" pumpkin to the left, and "small" pumpkin to the right (w/stems).
  • Finish the "arrangement" with the "vines", and "gate" "handle".
  • Lastly, stamp sentiment in Early Espresso, and add to card with Dimensional.
  • Finish the front with scattered Painted Patch Dots.
