Of course when I first saw this bundle with its' darling snowflake frame, the first thing I "saw" was a shaker card! I saw a similar card that was not a shaker, so make a few adjustments and voila! I also used some Storybook Gnomes DSP and our new Red & White Glimmer paper.
Measurements:
- Balmy Blue: 1/2 sheet
- Storybook Gnomes DSP (N): 4" x 5 1/4" (snowflake sweater print)
- Red & White Glimmer paper (N): 3 1/2" x 4 3/4", 3" square, scraps
- Window Sheet: 3 1/2" x 4 3/4"
- Basic White: scraps
- Basic Black: scraps
To Make This Card:
- Attach DSP to folded Balmy Blue card.
- Cut "snowflake frame" from center of White Glimmer piece.
- Attach window sheet to wrong side of "snowflake frame". Set this aside.
- Cut circle from 3" square of White Glimmer paper.
- Select one of the sentiments from the set. Curve the message to fit the circle, and stamp. Note: I used Balmy Blue that has faded over time. It's still there, but just barely. This would definitely show up more on Basic White instead of the Glimmer. But I liked the Glimmer better.
- Stamp "snowman" in Memento Black ink onto scrap of White Glimmer paper. Choose a "face" and stamp this, now, as well. Color the "carrot nose" with Pumpkin Pie Blend. Cut out with corresponding die.
- Stamp "scarf" and "bird" in Balmy Blue onto scrap of Basic White. Cut out with corresponding dies.
- Stamp "top hat" in black. Cut out with corresponding die.
- Cut out 2 "arms" from scraps of black.
- Assemble your "snowman" onto the Glimmer circle. Add "bird" where desired.
- I adhered this circle to the acetate on the frame, as this was the easiest way to make sure it was inside the frame. Note: However, the sequins, then, can't get in front of the snowman and kind of get caught behind where you can't see them.
- Lastly, cut the cute "tree" from scrap of Glimmer.
- Lay the frame on the card to determine where to put the "tree". Add directly to the card, using the pattern on the DSP to "remember" placement.
- Now, for the fun part!
- Place Foam Adhesive Strips along inside edge of frame.
- Sprinkle Sparkle & Shine Sequins over the tree, remove the Foam Adhesive Strip backing and put frame in place.
