Timid Tiger & Crumb Cake Coneflower

This color combination just caught my attention, so I had to give it a try! It is our new Timid Tiger and Crumb Cake! I, again, used the 2-Tone cardstock, a little blended ink, and a little Wink of Stella, and it is just stunning!  Gotta love that butterfly, too!

Measurements:

  • Crumb Cake: 1/2 sheet, 1/4 sheet (embossing, will trim after)
  • Timid Tiger (N): 4" x 5 1/4" (layer), 2 1/2" x 4" (flower base)
  • Basic White: scraps
  • Early Expresso: scrap
  • Granny Apple Green 2-Tone Cardstock: 4" strip
  • Peach Pie 2-Tone Cardstock: 2 1/2" x 4" (flower top)
To Make This Card:
  • Emboss the 1/4 sheet of Crumb Cake with the Mini Corrugated Embossing Folder in the Online Exclusives.  Trim to 3 3/4" x 5".
  • Adhere Timid Tiger and Crumb Cake layers to folded Crumb Cake card base.
  • Die cut 1/2 of Coneflower base from Timid Tiger cardstock. Stamp with Timid Tiger ink. (Remember the stamp only lines up one way!)
  • Die cut "detail" from Peach Pie 2-Tone Cardstock, dark side up.  Burnish Timid Tiger ink to the top and bottom of the petals with a Blending Brush.  Attach to flower base.
  • Die cut flower "center" from Early Espresso cardstock. Add to flower.
  • Stamp "butterfly" in Memento Black onto scrap of White.  Color with Timid Tiger Blends.
  • Add Wink of Stella to the "butterfly", as well as the top flower petals and center.
  • This is also a good time to shape the top petals, if desired!
  • Die cut "stem" and 2-part "leaves" from Granny Apple Green 2-Tone Cardstock.
  • Stamp "stem" and layer "leaves".
  • Stamp sentiment in Memento Black ink onto scrap of White.  Die cut with tag from Stylish Shapes Dies.
  • Now, to assemble.
  • Attach "stem" first with Multipurpose Glue.  Then, add "flower.
  • Next, add leaves. And, then sentiment with Dimensionals.
  • Finish with attaching "butterfly" to tag (and a Dimensional on the wings) and scattering 2025-2027 Flat Pearls.
