Sweet Jar Valentine

I saw this clean & simple card and thought it'd be perfect for my Senior Center Class!  I love the little jar in the arch, as well as the color - Strawberry Slush! They loved it, too!

Measurements:

  • Strawberry Slush (N): 1/2 sheet, 3" x 4"
  • Basic White: 2 pcs @ 4" x 5 1/4", 2 5/8" x 3 3/4" (arch die cut);  2 1/4" strip, scrap
  • Celebratory Sips DSP (OE): 2 3/4" x 4" (strawberry slush dots)
To Make This Card:
  • Run one White layer through the new Hearts of Love 3D Embossing Folder
  • Attach to folded Strawberry Slush card base.
  • Layer DSP to smaller Strawberry Slush piece.
  • Die cut arch from White piece. Set aside for now.
  • Stamp "jar" in Basic Gray ink onto strip of White.  Stamp off heart "shadow" in Strawberry Slush in the jar, and then add "hearts" with full strength ink.
  • Next, punch out with Jar Builder Punch.
  • Stamp "lid" in Strawberry Slush ink.  Also, punch out the Jar Punch.
  • Now, take punched "jar" and set into place on top of die cut arch. Lightly mark top of "jar" with pencil, then remove.
  • Then, take the "3-heart" stamp and stamp twice above line to create floating "hearts".
  • Next, attach "jar" back where desired with Dimensionals.
  • Add "lid" to "jar" at an angle with Glue Dot, as well as a White Bakers Twine bow.
  • Add completed "arch" to small layered piece, then to front of card.
  • Stamp sentiment in Basic Gray onto scrap of White.  Add the "love" (they've left space for it!) in Strawberry Slush ink.
  • Next, die cut with small circle from Stylish Shapes.
  • Add to card front as shown.
  • Finish inside with White layer, and stamped "hearts" and "love" in Strawberry Slush ink.
  • Finish front with Strawberry Slush flat pearls.
