Flip, Flap Gate Fold Mystery Card

This is another one of Sharon Armstrong's "Mystery Cards"!  I saw a version using the retired Encircled in Beauty Dies and knew I had to give this a try!  There are so many possibilities with this fold, too! This one uses our fun, new Tea Boutique DSP that is full of cute, small patterns.  (I got the DSP, but not the bundle!) and our new Parakeet Party InColor!

Measurements:  

• Parakeet Party (N): 1/2 sheet cut LENGTHWISE, 4" square (for doily), 2 pcs @ 1 3/4" x 5"
• 2022-2024 InColor DSP pack (N): 2 pcs @ 2 1/2" x 4"
• Tea Boutique DSP (N): 2 pcs @ 1 1/2" x 4 3/4"
• Basic White: 4" x 5 1/4", scrap

To Make This Card:

• Score Parakeet Party base at 2 3/4" from each end.  Crease well.
• Attach InColor DSP to each side of "gate".
• Attach Tea Boutique DSP to cardstock "flaps/strips".  Attach TOP "flap/strip" to LEFT "gate" and BOTTOM "flap/strip" to RIGHT "gate".
• For my card, cut "doily" from square piece of Parakeet Party using retired Encircled in Beauty Die. Cut this in half.
• Attach one half of "doily to each "flap/strip" as shown.
• Insert White piece inside, and finish as desired.
• I decided to attach a sentiment from the Garden Greenhouse stamped in Garden Green and cut out with banner from new Stylish Shapes dies. I attached this to the TOP "flap/strip"

Snowflake Faker Shaker

I saw a version of this Faker Shaker and knew I had to try it!  These are so fun to do! All it takes is a clear envelope (that we do sell), a piece of DSP, and something to shake. This DSP is so pretty, as are the Wonderful Snowflakes!

Measurements:   

• Blushing Bride: 1/2 sheet
• Whimsy & Wonder DSP (N): 4" x 5 1/4" (snowflakes)
  
• Silver Foil: 3 1/2" square

To Make This Card:

• Insert DSP into CLEAR envelope. (Yes, we do still carry these!). Pour in some "sprinkles". Seal the envelope tight around DSP.  Then fold down the side and tape, so it fits tightly arund DSP, too.  You don't want any of those "sprinkles" escaping!!
• Wrap Blushing Bride Ribbon around this piece and tie in a knot.  Attach this piece onto folded Blushing Bride card.
• Cut medium "doily" from Silver Foil.  Attach Wonderful Snowflake to "doily" with Glue dot.  Then, attach this to card, over ribbon, with Dimensionals.
• Finish with Opal Round in center of "snowflake".

Doily & Snowflakes in Purple

I saw a version of this card in Pacific Point, but I wanted to try in in cool purples! I love how it turned out! Such a nice combination of the wintry Snowflake Dies with the Encircled in Beauty doilies!

Measurements:  

• Gorgeous Grape: 1/2 sheet cut LENGTHWISE
• Shimmery White: 4" x 5 1/4", 1 1/2" square
• Highland Heather: 2 1/4" square
• Fresh Freesia: 2" square

To Make This Card:

• Cut the largest "doily" from the Shimmery White piece,WITHOUT the outside edge. Carefully remove the little pieces.  This opening is very delicate
• Attach this piece to folded Gorgeous Grape card.
• Cut smallest "snowflake" from scrap of Shimmery White.
• Cut next size from Fresh Freesia.
• And the largest from Highland Heather.
• Assemble all together and attach inside circle of doily with Mini Dimensional.
• Stamp sentiment in Gorgeous Grape ink.
• Finish with purple retired "Peacock" rhinestones. Or, color some Basic Rhinestones with Gorgeous Grape Blend.

This idea comes from the July-December mini catalog, with a few adjustments!  It is just stunning, and so easy to do!

Measurements:  

• Basic Gray: 1/2 sheet cut LENGTHWISE
• Basic White:4" x 5 1/4", 4" square, 2 1/4" square
• Silver Foil: 4 1/4" square, 3 1/4" square
• Peaceful Place DSP (N): 3 3/4" x 5" (snowflakes)

To Make This Card 

• Attach the White piece and DSP to the folded Basic Gray card.
• Cut the largest die from Silver, the next size from White, the next size from Silver.
• Emboss the sentiment in Silver onto a piece of White and cut out with the next size Doily Die.
• Attach the large Silver and White to the card, flat.
• Attach the next Silver to the card with Dimensionals, as well as the embossed white.
• Finish with a bow of Glittered Organdy Ribbon.

Side Pull Out Card with a Twist + Video

I saw this particular twist on the Side Pull Out Card, from Susan Campfield, a demonstrator in Minnesota, and I just had to try it!!  Fold, twist, I'm in!! This uses the largest Encircled in Beauty dies without the outside cut edge with a lengthwise fold for the outer card!!  The inside and assembly are the same!

Measurements:  

• Night of Navy: 1/2 sheet cut LENGTHWISE
• Basic White: 5 1/4" x 8" (pull out), 3 3/4" square, 2 1/4" square (sm doily)
• Sweet Symmetry DSP: 1 1/4" x 4 1/4", 3/4" strip

To Make This Card 

• Fold the Night of Navy card base in half.  Cut the largest "doily" from the front, WITHOUT the outside edge. Carefully remove the little pieces.  This opening is very delicate! Save the inside circle for later.
• Score the White pull out along 8" side at 2" and 4".  Crease well. Attach this piece to the inside of card.
• Cut out a large "doily" from large white square.  Save the "doily" for another project, you are needing the center circle!! (We do not have a circle die that is an EXACT match!) Stamp sentiment of your choice onto this circle in Night of Navy.
• Close top of card over insert.  Place adhesive onto the folded back pull out, through the circle opening in the front of card. Place the circle through the opening and attach to folded back insert.
• Open up both flaps of card.
• Now, cut stamp sentiment in Night of Navy onto smallest White Square.  Cut out with second to the smallest "doily".  Layer this onto the Navy circle you removed from the front of card.
• Leaving the White piece "pulled out", close the Navy front, and insert this Navy circle through the opening.  Cool, huh!
• Lift front.  Close pull out.  Stamp single "flower" onto front pull out, as shown.
• Cut "border" from Gingerbread dies. (I love this detailed border).  Trim and attach to lower, inside card.
• Fold everything back into place.  Now, attach 1 1/4" strip of DSP to the front, below the "doily".  Wrap ribbon around and tie in a knot.
• Finish with Night of Navy Rhinestones, from the Holiday Rhinestones.
