Wisteria Wishes Split Lattice Card

I had been seeing several of these Split Lattice Cards, that look like a trellis, fence, or lattice!  I could envision this using the Wisteria dies from the Annual Catalog! Instead of using ink and a Blending Brush to create the ombre colors of the flowers, I used the blue/purple shades from the Fancy Flora DSP for these flowers! So much easier and less labor intensive!

Measurements:

  • Thick Basic White: 1/2 sheet cut lengthwise, scrap
  • Fancy Flora DSP (N): approx 3" x 6" - your choice of colors!
  • 2021-2023 Incolor Paper Pack: 3 3/8" x 4 1/4" - Fresh Freesia
  • Pear Pizzazz: 1/4 sheet
To Make this Card:

  • Fold Thick White card base in half.  Trim from the front of card: 5 - 1/2" strups, and 2 - 3/8" strips. This should leave a 2 1/4" front flap!
  • To create "lattice" begin by taping your front with Washi or Painters Tape as shown above. Then, *I* started at the bottom, and adhered the 5 - 1/2" pieces to the Tape. Leave in place.
  • Now, take the 2 - 3/8" strips. Using Mulitpurpose Glue and place small dots of glue onto the 1/2" strips and flap.  Carefully adhere strips to hold cross pieces in place.  Allow glue to dry!
  • While that is drying, die cut 2 "wisteria" using the colors of your choice from the DSP.  You will need 2 of the larger and 2 of the smaller pieces.
  • Also, die cut 2 larger "branches" from the Pear Pizzazz cardstock.  Highlight the "veins" with a Small Blending Brush and Pear Pizzazz ink.
  • Also, cut 2 "vines" from Pear Pizzazz.  Add a little shading with Blending Brush & ink.
  • Now, let's build our card!  Carefully remove the Tape supporting the "lattice".
  • Attach the 2 "vines" to the "supports".
  • Next, assemble your 2 "wisteria" and add them where desired. Then, add "branches" cutting them apart so the go where you want them!
  • I took one of the "branch" STAMPS and lightly stamped in Pear Pizzazz onto scrap of white.  I stamped the sentiment in full Pear Pizzazz and cut out with a label die.
  • Add to card where desired.
  • Finish by adding a little colored DSP to inside. Lining the edges up with the bottom and scattering some Iridescent Pearls.
  • Oh, and a small, double Parakeet Party metallic ribbon.

Dimensional Wisteria

I am preparing for this months' Monthly Stamp Club where we are going to be exploring the Wisteria Wishes Bundle!  I wanted to make sure that we used the awesome Wisteria Dies, new InColors, and stamped images.  This is the first sample we will be doing using the dies and new InColors.  The next card will be using the stamped images.  I really do like this bundle!  So many possibilities!!

Measurements:

  • Orchid Oasis (N): 1/2 sheet cut LENGTHWISE, scrap
  • 2022-2024 InColor DSP (N): 4" x 5 1/4"
  • Basic White: 1/4 sheet (frame) 4" x 5 1/4" (inside), scraps
  • Pear Pizzazz: scraps
  • Old Olive: scraps
To Make This Card:

  • Attach DSP to folded Orchid Oasis card.
  • Cut White layer with Stitched with Whimsy die. (this makes a nice stitched pattern).  Then cut around stitched with Paper Snips.  Just follow the imprint made by the die.
  • Create your "wisteria" paper by adding color to a piece of White cardstock.  Using Blending Brushes, burnish (swirl) various "wisteria" colors onto your cardstock.  I mostly used Orchid Oasis and Starry Sky (richer tones), but I also have some Gorgeous Grape, Highland Heather, and Fresh Freesia blended in.
  • Cut out with Wisteria Dies (there are 2). I used 2 "heavy/bottom" layers and 3 "lighter/top" layers.  Then, if desired, carefully add more color.
  • Arrange 2 layers for each "wisteria".  There is a "knob" at the top of each piece.  I use a Glue Dot to initially glue them together. Place these 2, onto White layer, as shown. Add extra top layers, if desired.
  • Cut out one Pear Pizzazz and one Old Olive "branch".  Enhance veins in leaves with Old Olive ink and Blending Brush..
  • Cut the "branches" apart and arrange over "wisteria".
  • Cut lower-edge trim from Orchid Oasis.  Attach where desired and trim.
  • Attach White layer to card.
  • Finish with double bow of InColor Bakers Twine and scattered Iridescent Pearls.
