I had been seeing several of these Split Lattice Cards, that look like a trellis, fence, or lattice! I could envision this using the Wisteria dies from the Annual Catalog! Instead of using ink and a Blending Brush to create the ombre colors of the flowers, I used the blue/purple shades from the Fancy Flora DSP for these flowers! So much easier and less labor intensive!
Measurements:
- Thick Basic White: 1/2 sheet cut lengthwise, scrap
- Fancy Flora DSP (N): approx 3" x 6" - your choice of colors!
- 2021-2023 Incolor Paper Pack: 3 3/8" x 4 1/4" - Fresh Freesia
- Pear Pizzazz: 1/4 sheet
To Make this Card:
- Fold Thick White card base in half. Trim from the front of card: 5 - 1/2" strups, and 2 - 3/8" strips. This should leave a 2 1/4" front flap!
- To create "lattice" begin by taping your front with Washi or Painters Tape as shown above. Then, *I* started at the bottom, and adhered the 5 - 1/2" pieces to the Tape. Leave in place.
- Now, take the 2 - 3/8" strips. Using Mulitpurpose Glue and place small dots of glue onto the 1/2" strips and flap. Carefully adhere strips to hold cross pieces in place. Allow glue to dry!
- While that is drying, die cut 2 "wisteria" using the colors of your choice from the DSP. You will need 2 of the larger and 2 of the smaller pieces.
- Also, die cut 2 larger "branches" from the Pear Pizzazz cardstock. Highlight the "veins" with a Small Blending Brush and Pear Pizzazz ink.
- Also, cut 2 "vines" from Pear Pizzazz. Add a little shading with Blending Brush & ink.
- Now, let's build our card! Carefully remove the Tape supporting the "lattice".
- Attach the 2 "vines" to the "supports".
- Next, assemble your 2 "wisteria" and add them where desired. Then, add "branches" cutting them apart so the go where you want them!
- I took one of the "branch" STAMPS and lightly stamped in Pear Pizzazz onto scrap of white. I stamped the sentiment in full Pear Pizzazz and cut out with a label die.
- Add to card where desired.
- Finish by adding a little colored DSP to inside. Lining the edges up with the bottom and scattering some Iridescent Pearls.
- Oh, and a small, double Parakeet Party metallic ribbon.
