Greenery Lane Z Fold

This idea flashed through my reels and then disappeared forever!  It's a gorgeous card, and I think I did it justice from what I could remember! It uses the Timeless Plaid DSP in Calypso Coral, and the stamped images from the Greenery Lane stamp set in the current Mini Catalog. I love the use of the Everyday Arches dies for the focal point!

Measurements:

  • Crumb Cake: 1/2 sheet
  • Calypso Coral: 2 1/4" x 5 1/4"
  • Basic Beige: 2" x 5 1/4" (inside), 2 3/4" x 4", scrap
  • Timeless Plaid: 2 pcs @ 1 7/8" x 5 1/4" (Coral & Crumb Cake Plaid)
To Make This Card:

  • Create a "Z" fold with the Crumb Cake card base by folding the card in half, and then folding the front back on itself, creating the "Z"!
  • Next, add the 2 plaid DSP pieces to the front 2 panels. Continue with  the Basic Beige strip, near the crease and on the "back".
  • Now, run the Calypso Coral piece through the new Stone & Vine 3D Embossing folder.
  • Adhere to the "inside". There should be a 1/8" edge and will overlap the Beige piece a bit.
  • Next, die cut an arch from piece of Basic Beige.
  • Stamp outline of "sprig" in Early Espresso ink - once on the scrap, and 3 times, as shown, on the arch.  Add center color in Crumb Cake ink.
  • Adhere arch to front half of card.
  • Die cut the last "sprig" and add to card.
  • Finish with Wink of Stella on the "sprig" "leaves", Early Espresso Linen Thread bow, and scattered Calypso Coral Rainbow Dots.

Greenery Lane Curvy Concertina Card

Whenever possible, I try to accommodate my hostess with their project/stamp requests when they are hostess. My hostess for this month requested the Greenery Lane Bundle - with the Washi Tape.  Eventually, she found this idea by Sue Campfield, that she wanted to try!  I told her I'd give it a shot. (no written directions, only a video - but I like the challenge!)  So, here is what I came up with.  Look's like Sue's...so I'm good with it.  Not difficult to create, and I love the results.  This is her original design! And, as always, she has several samples.  Go check them out!

Measurements:

  • White Willow: 5 1/2" x 10 1/4" (base)
  • Basic White: 2 pcs @ 1 1/2" x 4 3/4" (outside front); 2 pcs @ 7/8" x 4 3/4" (front); 2 pcs @ 1 1/4" x 5 1/4" (back); 2 pcs @ 1 7/8" x 5 1/4" (back layer), scraps
  • Vellum: 3" x 4"
  • Garden Green: 2 pcs @ 2" x 5 3/8" (back layer)
  • Greenery Lane Washi Tape: 4 die cuts (adhered to White)
To Make This Card:

  • Score the base @ 2 1/8" - 3 5/8" - 5 1/8" - 6 5/8" - 8 1/8". Accordion fold (like a Concertina) - valley - mtn - valley - mtn - valley. Crease well.
  • Take the Vellum piece and score each 4" end at 1/2" - Note: be careful not to score too hard. Lightly curve with Bone Folder, crease the 1/2" back.
  • Now, we'll adhere this curvy piece to the card. Place Tear n Tape on the 1/2 strips neat the fold.
  • Take the card base and lay it flat. Remove the backing on the Tear n Tape of the curvy piece, center on the center panels of the card base and adhere. (Run your Bone Folder inside the piece to adhere the 1/2" pieces with the Tear n Tape!
  • Pick it up and see how nice this piece curves!
  • Let's work on the back, first. (easier to keep track of all those White strips).
  • Take the 2 Garden Green strips and 2 larger White strips (1 7/8" x 5 1/4"). Stamp the larger "sprig" in Garden Green ink, catching just the outside edge of each strip - on opposite sides.  Set aside for now.
  • Now, take all the other White strips and emboss with the gorgeous, new Stone & Vine Embossing Folder from the mini catalog.
  • Next, match which pieces go where.  The 4 pieces on the front have a larger, 3/8" border than the back, center 2 do.
  • Adhere to card. You can also adhere the outside back pieces with the Garden Green cardstock layer.
  • Now, die cut 2 "labels" from the Textured Notes Dies. Stampe the smallest one in Garden Green ink.
  • Adhere the smaller "label" to the other label with Dimensionals.
  • Next, adhere Greenery Lane Washi Tape to piece of White.  Die cut leafy pieces. Pick 4 and adhere to "labels" between layers. (You might need to trim a bit)
  • To adhere these to the Curvy Vellum piece, I added 2 Dimensionals to the curve, and add labels.
  • Finish with White Moody Palette Glossy Dots.
