Seascape Layering Diorama

I saw this sample using the Seascape Bundle and the Layering Diorama Dies and just had to figure it out!  I absolutely LOVE it! Took a while to get it the way I wanted it, but it was worth it!

Measurements:

  • Shaded Spruce: 1/2 sheet cut LENGTHWISE
  • Just Jade:  4 1/4" x 5 1/2", 4 1/8" x 5 3/8"
  • Be Dazzling DSP (N) (SAB): 2 1/4" x 3 1/8"
  • Rainbow Glimmer: scraps
To Make This Card:

    • Fold  Shaded Spruce card in half. Cut a smaller Diorama Layer from center of front of card.
    • Cut a little larger Diorama Layer from the slightly smaller Just Jade layer. Attach to front of card as desired.  You might need to trim this piece so the opening lays as you would like it to.
    • Cut the last, larger Diorama Layer from the largest Just Jade piece. Stamp the "school of fish" as shown in Just Jade ink. Then, attach to card front with Dimensionals.
    • Cut "coral" from Be Dazzling DSP and 4-5 smaller fish from Rainbow Glimmer scraps.
    • With card closed, stamp sentiment in Versamark ink, and emboss with White embossing powder.
    • Tuck and adhere "coral" in lower right corner. Add rainbow "fish", including one inside that can be seen from the front.
    • Finish with sequins and a Just Jade bow.

    Golden Seahorse

I was asked to share the Layering Diorama Dies at Stamp Club this month.  I decided to pair it with the detailed Sea Life Dies. I created this sample from a similar one that I saw online.  Love the gold veins of the Expressions in Ink DSP and the Gold Foil accent pieces.

    Measurements:

    • Shaded Spruce: 1/2 sheet cut LENGTHWISE
    • Mint Macaron: 4 1/4" x 5 1/2", scrap
    • Expressions in Ink (N): 4" x 5 1/4"
    • Gold Foil:4" x 4 1/2"
    To Make This Card:

      • Fold  Shaded Spruce card in half. Cut large Diorama Layer from front of card.
      • Run front of card through Tasteful Textile EF.
      • Cut 1 smaller Diorama Layer in Mint Macaron layer.  Layer behind opening in Shaded Spruce and adhere together.
      • Add DSP to inside of card.
      • Cut 1 "seahorse", 1 "coral", and 2 "fish" (same die) from Gold Foil.
      • Attach the "seahorse" to DSP through openings.
      • Using a "pokey tool" lift the detail from the "coral" and "fish scales".  Attach to card as shown.  I attached the "fish" with Dimensionals.
      • Finish with a sentiment stamped in Shaded Spruce onto Mini Macaron and cut out with an Ornate Frame.
      • Finish with knot of Gold Shimmer Ribbon.
