    Glimmer Beta Fish

I wanted to play with the Fighting Fish (Beta) while I was playing with the Seahorse. The detail of this die is amazing! This fish is also attached to the card base. I used a piece of Rainbow Glimmer behind the fish. (It reminded me of the Rainbow Fish).  I really think a darker color looks better. I made the "plain white" version first, but thought it could use a little pizzazz.  So made the second version, adding in some coordinating color with the Blending Brushes. Which one do you like better? Have you seen the Rainbow Glimmer paper?  It's GORGEOUS!  Quite a few of my club members had not noticed it!  Be sure to check it out!

    Measurements:

    • Mango Melody: 1/2 sheet
    • Melon Mambo: 4" x 5 1/4"
    • Basic White: 3 3/4" x 5"
    • Rainbow Glimmer: 3 1/4" x 4", scraps
    To Make This Card:

      • Fold Mango Melody card in half.  Attach Melon Mambo piece.
      • Cut "fish from center of White cardstock.  Use pokey tool to lift up the center "scales".
      • Adhere Rainbow piece behind "fish" opening, then attach to card.
      • OPTION: If you wish to burnish in some color, carefully lift the "fins" and add color all around. Switching colors as desired.  Then attach to card.
      • Cut smaller "fish" from scraps of Rainbow Glimmer paper.  Scatter in odd numbers where desired.
      • Finish with sequins, gems, or a box of white ribbon colored with Blends.

      • Cut "seahorse" from center of White cardstock. Use paper snips to release from White cardstock.  Set this piece aside.
      • Ink up one Blending Brush with Just Jade.  Lightly shade the left side of the "seahorse", darkening the outer edges.  Ink up another Blending Brush with Calypso Coral.  Lightly shade the "seahorse" belly.
      • Attach White base with the seahorse opening onto piece of gold.
      • Now, reinsert and adhere the seahorse into the opening.  Attach to card with Dimensionals.
      • Finish with Genial Gems. 1 large for the "eye" and 4 scattered.

      Golden Seahorse

I was asked to share the Layering Diorama Dies at Stamp Club this month.  I decided to pair it with the detailed Sea Life Dies. I created this sample from a similar one that I saw online.  Love the gold veins of the Expressions in Ink DSP and the Gold Foil accent pieces.

      Measurements:

      • Shaded Spruce: 1/2 sheet cut LENGTHWISE
      • Mint Macaron: 4 1/4" x 5 1/2", scrap
      • Expressions in Ink (N): 4" x 5 1/4"
      • Gold Foil:4" x 4 1/2"
      To Make This Card:

        • Fold  Shaded Spruce card in half. Cut large Diorama Layer from front of card.
        • Run front of card through Tasteful Textile EF.
        • Cut 1 smaller Diorama Layer in Mint Macaron layer.  Layer behind opening in Shaded Spruce and adhere together.
        • Add DSP to inside of card.
        • Cut 1 "seahorse", 1 "coral", and 2 "fish" (same die) from Gold Foil.
        • Attach the "seahorse" to DSP through openings.
        • Using a "pokey tool" lift the detail from the "coral" and "fish scales".  Attach to card as shown.  I attached the "fish" with Dimensionals.
        • Finish with a sentiment stamped in Shaded Spruce onto Mini Macaron and cut out with an Ornate Frame.
        • Finish with knot of Gold Shimmer Ribbon.
