Christmas Lights Tree Fun Fold

I've had this beautiful bundle since August, and it's time to use it!! The stamp designer shared with the Incentive Trip Achievers how she designed these detailed stamps...on her computer.  Truly amazing!  The DSP is absolutely gorgeous, and has been in and out of availability! (It IS available at the moment!) I saw this fun, simple fold and decided to give it a try.  If you look closely there is Gold Glimmer paper behind the holes in the tree! So many possibilities, from Christmas to Winter!

Measurements:  : 

• Evening Evergreen: 1/2 sheet
• Lights Aglow (N): 2 3/4" x 5 1/4" (bokeh); 1" x 5 1/4", 1/2" x 4" (gold scallop)
• Very Vanilla: 4" x 5 1/4" (inside), 2 3/4" x 4 3/8" (tree)
• Gold Glimmer (N): 2 3/4" x 4 3/8" (tree), scraps (stars)

To Make This Card:

• Score card at 3" from one end.  Turn and score at 1 1/4" from the other end. Crease well with bone folder.  It should meet!
• Attach DSP to corresponding flaps.
• Add Vanilla quarter to inside.  Add strip of DSP to the bottom.
• Die cut "fancy tree" from Vanilla piece.  You will need to use BOTH the "fancy tree" and the "tree outline" to make this tree!
• Die cut "tree outline" from Gold Glimmer paper.  
• Adhere these 2 pieces together with Multipurpose Glue! (Yea, it works best!)
• Attach to left, larger flap.
• Die cut 2 "stars" from scraps of Gold Glimmer paper.  Attach one to "tree" and one to inside of card.
• Finish with Clear Rhinestone on the "star" and scattered around on the DSP, and "green" pearls from the Festive Pearls.

Peace to You in a Gorgeous Frame

I love the simplicity of this stamp set!  Definitely a "Clean & Simple"I have to admit I CASE'd this card from someone, I just liked to total package.  The Merriest Frames from last year, I did have to review, again, but, the results are definitely worth it! And, the color, Blackberry Bliss, is just stunning!

Measurements:    

• Blackberry Bliss: 1/2 sheet, 4 1/4" x 5 1/2" (full quarter)
• Very Vanilla: 1/4 sheet (inside), 3 1/4" square (insert)
• Gold Foil: 1/4 sheet

To Make This Card:

• Run the quarter of Blackberry Bliss through Embossing folder. Note: this barely fits!
• Attach this embossed piece to folded Blackberry Bliss card 
• Emboss the Gold Foil piece with just the Embossing Folder. Now, run it through, again, with the "detail" die. (This does NOT fit in the folder.)
• Attach this to the card front over the embossed piece (you don't get the background dots, if you don't emboss the cardstock first.  Your choice!
• Stamp the "church" in Blackberry Bliss onto the square of Vanilla cardstock.  Cut out with the included Stitched Rectangle Die, centering the part you would like to have as your focal point!
• Attach to center of Foil piece.
• Finish with Vanilla piece inside, and Gold Embossed sentiment.  
• This is so beautiful, I didn't add any other embellishments!

Apple Harvest Stack, Cut and Shuffle

I forgot to share this version of that ever-so-fun concept of Stack, Cut, and Shuffle!!  This one uses the Apple Harvest Bundle (well, the dies are no longer available, but you might just have them!) This one uses the Gingham Cottage DSP, Blush Blossom cardstock, and the retired SAB DSP Rings of Love.  The "focal point" uses the single apple and 2 blossoms and 3 leaves, but notice I used different bases to mount them on....from vellum, to cardstock, to nothing!  Which one do you prefer??

Measurements:  : 

• 4 Card bases: 1/2 sheet (can be all the same or a variety)
• 4 Layers of Cardstock: 4" x 5 1/4" (usually all the same)
• 4 Layers to Cut: 3 ¾” x 5” (DSP, and/or Cardstock) This is what you’ll STACK, CUT, & SHUFFLE.

To Make This Card:

• Stack all the top layers together.·         
• Make the first cut 1 ¼” from right side.  This makes 2 “piles”.
• Turn the 2 piles 90° (horizontally) and make another cut at 1 ¼” from the right side. Take care to keep the pieces in order in each pile.·         
• Lay stacks of pieces out the way that they will be finished on the card.·         
• Start with the largest piece, and leave the stack as is.  Go to the stack to the left, and shuffle the top one to the bottom, go to the next stack and shuffle 2 to the bottom, go to the last stack and bring the bottom piece to the top.  You’ve now accomplished “the shuffle”!!·        
• Start gluing the pieces to the card layers, as shown. This version, the pieces are touching each other, with a 1/8” outside border.·        
• Continue until all 4 layers are created.·        
• Next, continue with your “focal point”. Decide on your “theme” and use this for your “focal point”.·         
• I usually try to mount this onto a decoratively shaped “base layer”.·         
• Next add accents, or embellishment pieces.·        
• And finish with a “message”.·         
• Voilà you’re done!

Sweet Candy Canes Fun Fold

 I love the patterns in the Sweetest Christmas DSP! So many possibilities in traditional red and green. PLUS candy canes that can be die cut out in a variety of printed patterns. I created this card as a Cut and Flip card. Still pretty fast and easy to do!

Measurements:  : 

• Basic White: 1/2 sheet cut LENGTHWISE, 2 3/4" x 4 1/4"
• Sweetest Christmas DSP (N): 2 pcs @ 2 1/2" x 4" (1 - polka dot, 1 stripe), 2 die cut Candy Canes, scrap
• Real Red: 4" x 5 1/4"

To Make This Card:

• Fold Basic White card base in half.  Remove lower half of front. (2 3/4" is half).  Keep this for the mounting piece!
• Attach stripe DSP to top flap of card. 
• Run Real Red cardstock through Stitched with Whimsy Dies (this just creates a fun pattern on the cardstock. Attach to inside of card.
• Die cut 2 "candy canes", one each direction. These can be the same pattern, or coordinating patterns, your choice.  Set aside.
• Attach Red polka dot DSP to cut off piece of White. Attach HALF to top of card as shown.
• Arrange "candy canes" on top. Attach with Dimensionals.
• Add second piece of White behind flap for sentiment.  Add a little scrap of coordinating DSP, if desired.
• Finish with Garden Green bow.

Dancing Birthday Gnome

 So, you don't want a Holiday Dancing Gnome, how about a more generic one? I created this one for my class at Garner yesterday.  I used retired DSP to create a birthday card for my students!  So many possibilities!

Measurements:  : 

• Granny Apple Green: 1/2 sheet, scraps
•  Pattern Party DSP (H) (ret): 4" x 5 1/4" (stripe), 2 1/2" x 4", 1" x 2 1/2" green print
• Basic White: 2 pcs @ 2 1/2"x 4", scraps
• Blushing Bride: scrap (nose)

To Make This Card:

• Fold Granny Apple Green card base in half.  Remove upper half of front. (2 3/4" is half).  Keep this for the mounting piece!
• Attach stripe DSP to inside of card.  Attach Green print piece DSP to front flap.
• Attach one White piece to Green piece you removed. Adhere bottom of this piece to front flap.
• Die cut "beard" from scrap of White, die cut "nose" from Blushing Bride, die cut "feet" from Granny Apple Green, and die cut "hat" from Green print.
• To assemble the "gnome".  Attach the corners of the "hat" to the imprint on the "beard" with 1/2 a glue dot. Add the "nose" with a Mini Dimensional. Set Aside.
• To make the "dancing feet", cut or make a "mechanism" as shown above in the illustration.  I used the Candy Cane Holder from the Candy Canes dies.
• Attach the feet to the mechanism, below the opening. This is one time I used Multipurpose Glue!  Set aside to dry well.
• While this piece is drying, let's finish the inside.
• Attach the other White piece to the wrong side of the Green flap.
• Add small piece of DSP to bottom of the White piece. Add sentiment, if desired.
• To finish the "dancing gnome", lay the "feet" onto the card flap. Place a Mini Dimensional in the opening of the mechanism. 
• Next, take the "face". Place Mini Dimensionals on outside points of "hat" and "hat" tip.  Remove all backings and adhere over feel, so "beard" is attached to the mechanism Dimensional.
• Give it a swing!!  Note: if is doesn't swing, make sure there is no glue from the "feet" in the way.
• Finish with scattered Green Rhinestones.
