Adorable Owls on Point

Mom & I designed this card for my Club Meeting this month. It uses the darling Adorable Owls stamp set, free with a $50 order during SALEABRATION!! We also used my new, favorite DSP - Dandy Designs, also FREE with a $100. I just LOVE the patterns and colors in this paper!! We used a basic design/cut and the paper guided us with the color selections. We love how it turned out!!

Measurements: :

Calypso Coral: 1/2 sheet. 3 1/4" square
Dandy Designs (N)(SAB): 1 7/8" x 5 1/4"
Petal Pink: 4" x 5 1/4"
Basic White: 2 3/4" square

To Make This Card:

Fold Calypso Coral card base in half. Trim 2 1/8" from front of card. Save this piece for another project.
Attach Petal Pink piece to the "inside" of card.
Attach DSP to front flap.
Die cut largest Stitched Square from Calypso Coral piece. Die cut White piece from next size smaller Stitched Square.
Stamp "owl" in Memento Black onto White square. (or, stamp first and then die cut)
Color with Blends as shown, or desired.
Mount the 2 Stitched Squares together and mount to card front, on point, as shown. Be sure on only put adhesive on left side of "diamond"!!
Finish with new, Iridescent Pastel Gems and a calypso coral bow (I used retired ribbon).

Playing in the Rain

Mom and I finally were able to get together an create this week! Since we are using the darling, new bundle - Playing in the Rain - in club this month, we decided to start with it! This is just the front of a more detailed card/fold that we did, that I will share, later, with a video! It's really cute. This bundle has dies that will cut out the "critters", both from the DSP and stamped images. For this sample, I stamped and colored the main image (I didn't like Cajun Craze "fox" from the DSP with my pastel colors!) When you stamp your image, they can by ANY color you like!! This is definitely a "must have" suite from the new catalog!

Measurements: :

Basic White: 1/2 sheet. 3 1/2" x 4 3/4" (frame), scrap
Dandy Designs DSP (N) (SAB): 4" x 5 1/4"
Balmy Blue: scraps

To Make this Card:

Attach Balmy Blue print DSP to folded White card.
Cut Stitched Scallop from the piece of White.
Now, run this piece through the new Raindrops Embossing Folder. Attach to front of card.
Stamp "fox" image in Memento Black onto scrap of White. Color with Blends that coordinate with the DSP, as shown.
Die cut "fox" and attach to card front with Dimensionals.
Stamp "clouds" in Balmy Blue onto Balmy Blue cardstock. Die cut with coordinating die. Select 2 and attach to card front.

Fancy Floral Fun Fold

This is one of the new DSP's we were able to order at Convention! It's called Fancy Floral, and coordinates with an awesome bundle/suite. It is absolutely STUNNING!! Anyway, I had a meeting with my downline, since no one was able to attend this time, to share what I learned and to see and play with some of the new products. This one uses the coral tones in a Fun Fold. It also features some of our new gems and one of the awesome, new labels!

Measurements: :

Calypso Coral: 1/2 sheet. 3" square (back circle)
Fancy Floral (N): 3" x 5 1/2"
Basic White: 4" x 5 1/4" (inside), 3" square (circle)

To Make This Card:

Score card at 3" from one end. Turn and score at 1 1/4" from the other end. Crease well with bone folder. It should meet!
Decide what area of the DSP you want to show on the front of your card and attach this to left side. It matches edge to edge.
Place a piece of scrap paper under the right flap. Now, randomly stamp "detail flower", stamped off, in Calypso Coral. Remove scrap paper.
Attach White piece to the inside.
Stamp "detail flower" FIRST in full strength Calypso Coral. Then, stamp stamped off "solid flower" over. Lining up "center smile".
Add 2 "leaves" in Soft Seafoam
Cut 2 stitched circles from Stylish Shapes Dies. One from Calypso Coral and one from White.
Stamp sentiment onto White circle in Soft Suede.
Cut long "tag" from Petal Pink. Center behind White circle.
Take 13" ribbon and loop behind tag/circle. Add Calypso Coral circle to the back. Sandwiching the ribbon in between.
Next, attach HALF of the circle to the right side of the card.
Finish with scattered Rhinestones. I used our new Iridescent Pastel Gems.

Two Tone Flora Detailed Window

This is an original design using new products from the January-April mini catalog. I wanted to create a "window" using the large, detailed background die from the Two Tone Flora Dies, the gorgeous Fancy Floral DSP and an oval opening. (check out the circle on the front of the catalog!) I decided I needed a contrast, so I selected the DSP with the Soft Succulent, Evening Evergreen and Petal Pink colors, Petal Pink and Soft Succulent cardstock. (This picture doesn't do this justice.)The oval is cut from the new Framed Florets Dies.

Measurements: :

Soft Succulent: 1/2 sheet, scrap
Fancy Floral (N): 4" x 5 1/4"
Petal Pink: 2 pcs @ 4" x 5 1/4"
Basic White: scrap

To Make This Card:

Cut oval using "ripple" die from Framed Floret Dies into one of the Petal Pink pieces. Then run it through the Quatrefoil Tile Embossing Folder. Set aside.
Next, die cut all-over Floral from the other Petal Pink piece. Note: you will not need the entire image, you will just be selecting your favorite part to be seen inside the oval "window", so just a small piece of cardstock would work, too.
Attach this die cut to wrong side of oval layer. Trim the die cut layer to match the outside edges of the embossed piece, if necessary.
Now, take the full DSP piece and the "window" layer. Decide which part of the DSP piece you would like to see through the "window", and cut and adhere it behind the "window" opening. Note: you do not need a full piece behind this layer, just the most interesting part!
Next, adhere his piece to folded Soft Succulent card.
Stamp sentiment onto scrap of White. Cut out with "label" die and attach to a "split" Soft Succulent "label". Add to card where desired.
Finish with 2 2021 InColor Gems and Soft Succulent bow.

Fancy Floral Detailed Frame

This clean and simple card could be used for SO MANY occasions!! It utilizes the gorgeous Fancy Floral DSP in the purple tones and the stunning, all-over Floral Die. I paired it with the new, coordinating Something Fancy words and dies.

Measurements: :

Fresh Freesia: 1/2 sheet, 2" x 3" (label)
Fancy Floral (N): 4 1/4" x 5 1/2"
Pool Party: 1/4 sheet
Basic White: 1 3/4" x 2 3/4" (label)

To Make This Card:

Die cut all-over Floral from Pool Party piece. Trim, if desired, so border is equal all the way around (about 1/16"), or leave to cover entire front.
Adhere DSP to this piece with Multipurpose Glue. Selecting desired area of DSP. Trim to fit.
Attach to folded Fresh Freesia card.
Cut larger "label" from Freesia.
Stamp sentiment in Gorgeous Grape and cut out with smaller, corresponding die.
Loop new Pool Party ribbon behind White label. Attach to Freesia label with Dimensionals.
Then, attach to card.
Finish with Fresh Freesia InColor Opal Rounds.
