Becky's Stampin' Studio: Terrific Toadstool Unique Trifold

Here is another card that uses that new fold I found - a Unique Trifold Card! This is actually a "Becky Original" using the new Terrific Toadstool Stamp Set in the new mini catalog. It also uses the fun Toadstool Gardens DSP from the SAB selections, available until the end of February! I just LOVE how it turned out! We will be doing this one in class next week! A good review for those who came to club, and great opportunity to learn, with guidance, as well!!

Measurements:

Basic White: 5 1/2" x 6 1/2" (base), 3 1/2" x 10 1/2" (insert),1 3/4" x 3 1/4" (top, front layer), scrap
Granny Apple Green: 1 7/8" x 3 3/8" (top, front layer), 3 pcs @ 2 1/4" x 3 1/4" (insert layers - see image)
Toadstool Gardens DSP (N) (SAB): 4" x 5 1/4" (inside - Granny Apple leaves) 2 pcs @ 2 1/8" x 3 1/8" (in2"side insert flaps), 2 1/8" x 3 1/8" (outside insert flap), 2 pcs @ 2" x 5 1/4" (front top & inside flaps) White "mushroom" print; 7/8" x 3 1/8" (narrow insert piece) 7/8" x 2 1/4" (inside decoration) Melon Mambo hashtag

To Make This Card:

Score White "base" along 6 1/2" side at 4 1/4". Crease well, and set aside.
Score White "insert" at 2"-3"-5 1/2"-8". Start at the 2" end, and make a "mountain" fold, and another "mountain" fold, and then a "valley" fold, and then another "valley" fold.
Let's create the "base" first. Adhere the largest "leaf" piece to the inside. And, attach the 2 longer "mushroom" pieces to the outside and inside flaps. Set aside.
On the insert piece, adhere the Granny Apple Green cardstock to the top, front layer.
On the White, front layer, Stamp the 3-stem in Gray Granite ink and stamp the 3-mushroom stamp in Pumpkin Pie ink.
For the sentiment, we are going to do a little "omitting" (haven't done this with you in a LONG time). We are going to stamp the larger word (magical) first, for better placement. Cover the smaller words with Washi Tape. Ink up the word that is still showing with Melon Mambo ink, trying to just ink the words. Stamp onto White piece above, and to the right of the "mushrooms". Clean Stamp! And dry well.
Now, cover the larger word (magical) with Washi Tape. Ink up the remaining words in Granny Apple Green ink, trying to just ink up the words, remove the Washi Tape and stamp the words onto the White piece. Note: For placement, since the stamp is clear, it is possible to like up the word that is already stamped!
Before you attach this piece to the front flap on top of the Granny Apple Green cardstock, take a Granny Apple Green Blend and sketch in some "grass".
Let's continue along insert. Next, attach add the 7/8" "Melon Mambo" hashtag strip to the narrow area.
Next, adhere Granny Apple Green cardstock and "leaf" DSP to next panel. Skip the next panel - leave White, and then add a Granny Apple Green cardstock and "leaf" DSP to the last panel on this side.
On the White, skipped, panel, adhere small strip to bottom, and stamp sentiment above in Granny Apple Green ink. For an added touch, stamp "lady bug" body in black ink onto DSP. Stamp "shell" in Melon Mambo ink onto scrap of White. Fussy cut, and add to "body" with Mini Dimensional.
We still have one panel on the other side to go! We need to add a Granny cardstock piece with "mushroom" DSP on it to the wrong side of the last panel. The rest of the wrong side is left White, as we will be using various parts to adhere to card base.
Now, we are ready to adhere the insert into the card base.
Place Tear n Tape on the front, narrow panel. Matching the crease with the front cut edge, adhere to the front.
Tri fold the rest of the insert, with the 1" panel extended, exposing the back panel (opposite your stamping). Place Tear n Tape onto this piece.
Flip the card over exposing this piece, and close the card base.
And, Voila! It is done!!
Finish the card with new, scattered Brass Butterflies.
