Lovely Arrangements Cut & Flip Card

The colors in the Lovely Blossoms DSP are just stunning, and so gorgeous when paired with its' coordinating stamp set, Lovely Arrangements, all in the Online Store! Found this card and knew I had to give it a try!  It utilizes so much of the bundle, in such a creative way!

Measurements:

  • Basic White: 1/2 sheet cut LENGTHWISE, 2 3/8" x 4 1/4" (sponged layer), 2 1/2" x 4" inside layer, scraps (stamped images
  • Secret Sea (N): 4" x 5 1/4" (inside), 2 1/2" x 4"
  • Petal Pink: 2 1/2" x 4", scraps
  • Petal Pink 2-Tone cardstock: 2" x 2 1/2" (half of the die cut)
  • Lovely Blossoms (N) (OE): 3 3/4" x 5" (Floral print)
To Make This Card:

  • Fold White card base in half, and then remove 2 3/4" from the front, to be flipped and used later on the front of the card.
  • On the "inside", first add the Secret Sea layer, and then the DSP piece.
  • Next, take the Petal Pink layer and run it through the "lace" die.  Note: This will only cut 3" of that piece, so you will need to run it through a 2nd time, lining up one of the cuts. Then adhere to front flap.
  • Now, stamp the images in Secret Sea onto White. You'll need 1 full flower, 1 1/2 flower, and 2 sets of leaves.  Then die cut with corresponding dies.
  • I also put Wink of Stella on the 2 flowers.  Note: Some of the ink will drag with the Wink of Stella, but that's ok!  I like the effect!
  • You'll also need to die cut 1- each of the die cut leaves in Petal Pink.
  • And, lastly, you'll need to cut the "circles" die from the 2-tone cardstock, dark side up!  I cut a full piece, and then cut it in half, which will, then, make 2 cards!
  • So, let's "build" the focal point piece.
  • Take the piece you cut from the front, and add the Secret Sea layer.
  • Before you add the next, White piece, you'll want to burnish a little Petal Pink ink with a Blending Brush. Then, add it to the Secret Sea layer.
  • Next, add the "circles" to the left side.
  • Now, for the "arrangement". I first added the 2-leaf Petal Pink die cut with Multipurpose Glue.  I spread the leaves out just a little bit.
  • Then, I added 1 set of leaves to the "top" (see picture), then overlapping that, the 1/2 flower, and then the last set of leaves to the "bottom".
  • Finish the "arrangement" with the full flower, popped up, and the last Petal Pink die cut leaf tucked underneath.  And your "focal" point is done.
  • Attach to the front flap of card base.
  • If desired, stamp sentiment in Secret Sea ink and cut out with die from the Bundle. (my Senior gals decided NOT to add this!
  • Adhere the inside White piece to inside, behind "focal point".
  • Finish front with Secret Sea Moody Palette Dots.
