Sweet Bugs Clean & Simple Card

I spotted this idea by Sharon at "As the Ink Dries", and thought it would be perfect for class, including my Senior stampers. These images are stamped and then colored.  I actually like the colored Lily of the Valley! Anyway, my senior gals loved it!

Measurements:

  • Poppy Parade: 1/2 sheet cut LENGTHWISE
  • Basic White: 2 pcs @ 4" x 5 1/4", 2 1/2" x 4" (arch), 3/4" x 3 7/8", scraps (images)
  • Made with Love DSP (N): 3 1/4" x 3 7/8" (Poppy "dashes"), 2" x 3 7/8", 5/8" x 4" strip (sm hearts on Strawberry Slush)
To Make This Card:

  • Adhere one large, White layer to front of Poppy Parade card base.
  • Next, add "dash" Poppy Parade DSP to the top, and the small heart DSP to the bottom.  The edges will overlap.
  • Then cover the "seam" with the 3/4" strip of Basic White.
  • Now, stamp the images in Memento Black ink and die cut with corresponding dies.  You'll need one "Reading Ladybug", one "Lily of the Valley", and 3 flowers/grass.
  • Color in the images with Poppy Parade, Flirty Flamingo, Granny Apple Green.
  • Die cut an arch in White.
  • To create the focal point.. I placed one "flower" near the bottom left corner of arch. Use the smaller Dimensionals. Next, I added the "Ladybug", and then I added another "flower to the right (not too low), and the last "flower in between - all on Dimentionals. Lastly, you'll add the "Lily of the Valley" - tucked behind right flower.
  • If enough room, stamp the words from Sweet Jar, otherwise, find another sentiment that will fit!
  • Next, place the completed "arch" onto the card front with Dimensionals.
  • Finish with White twine bow, and silver Festive dots.
