Sweet Bugs Ladybug Clean & Simple Card #2

This idea is very similar to one I did in Poppy Parade, only it uses a different color palette, that I just LOVE! This one still uses the Cute as a Bug DSP, only the alternate color combo of Petal Pink and Old Olive! It makes awesome use of the DSP patterns in this color combo, and you just might have some scraps! So cute!

Measurements:

  • Petal Pink: 1/2 sheet, 3" x 4 1/4" (arch)
  • Old Olive: 4" x 5 1/4"
  • Basic White: 2 1/2" x 3 3/4", scraps
  • Cute as a Bug DSP (N): 3 pcs @ 1 3/8" x 3 1/2" (different, coordinating patterns!)
To Make This Card:

  • Adhere Old Olive layer to folded Petal Pink card base.
  • Next, add the 3 pieces of DSP, evenly spacing them top to bottom & side to side.
  • Now, stamp the images in Memento Black ink and die cut with corresponding dies.  You'll need one "Reading Ladybug", one "Lily of the Valley", and 2 flowers/grass.
  • Color in the images with Flirty Flamingo, Petal Pink, and Old Olive Blends.
  • Die cut one "arch" in Petal Pink, and then a smaller "arch" in White using the Everyday Arches Dies.
  • Stamp sentiment of your choice in Old Olive ink, onto White "arch", and then mount this piece onto the Petal Pink arch.
  • To create the focal point.. I placed one "flower" near the bottom left corner of arch. Use the smaller Dimensionals. Next, I added the "Ladybug", and then I added the last "flower" a little below that oneall on Dimentionals. Lastly, you'll add the "Lily of the Valley" - tucked behind right flower.
  • Next, place the completed "arch" onto the card front with Dimensionals.
  • Finish with Old Olive double twine bow, and Petal Pink Charming Dots, and a little wink of Stella on the flowers!.
