Friendly Foliage Floating Tent Card

So, I found another sample on Pinterest of a Floating Tent Card that uses the current bundle, Friendly Foliage, so I decided to give it a try! I LOVE it! What I really love is the color combination of Secret Sea and Petal Pink! I'm down here stamping with my friends in Springfield. We are getting together this afternoon to "play" and will be making this card. But, I will ALSO be doing this in my class at home next Wednesday, I love it so much!

Measurements:

Secret Seat: 1/2 sheet cut LENGTHWISE, 4" x 4 1/4" (accordion fold), 1 1/2" x 1 7/8”" (mechanism), scrap
Basic White: 4" x 5 1/4" (back); 2 3/4" x 4" (stamped image)
Lovely & Beautiful DSP (N)(OE): 4" x 5 1/4" (Petal Pink print)

To Make This Card:

Adhere Petal Pink Print piece to folded Secret Sea base. I used Multipurpose Glue so that the piece was adhered all over.
Next, die cut center of front from 3rd largest Branching Out Die (or any die of your choice). Set this aside.
While the base is still pretty flat, create back layer, by stamping smaller “sprig” in Secret Sea ink, in 2 opposite corners.
Then, add this to the back side of card.
Note: If desired, at this time you could also add a piece of DSP to the inside of your card. You don't see a whole lot of this, so I chose not to do this.
For the accordion "stand", score along the 4" side at 1/2" - 1 1/4" - 2" - 2 3/4" - 3 1/2".
Fold this piece in half, and then accordion fold, creasing well.
Next, adhere this to the inside of the card base, with the 1/2" section attached to the front and back, with the score line/crease even with the cut edge of the card base.
Now, to decorate the insert!
Stamp “leafy frame” in Secret Sea ink onto piece of White. Die cut with both parts of “frame” die.
Making sure your print matches up, adhere this piece to front cut out piece with “Green Glue”.
You might want to add any embellishments at this time, while it is still flat. I used the · Secret Sea dots from the Moody Palette Dots Embellishments.
Score the swing "mechanism" @ 3/4". The width of the mechanism may change based on the die that you used for the "window", but they are all 1 1/2" wide.
Now, adhere one side of the "mechanism" to the top of the insert. I used Tear & Tape.
Place adhesive on the other side, place insert into the opening (matching the DSP design), and adhere to the inside.
Finish front with die cut “sprig” from Secret Sea cardstock.

Friendly Foliage Faux Step Card

I've had this bundle since before Christmas, but just haven't had the chance to use it! I love unique dies, and it's a bonus when it comes with an equally unique stamp set, as this one does! I was looking for a unique idea, rather than just placing it on the center of a card, and found this one by Cindy Brumbaugh. She has made it in 2 different color combinations. I have made both, but there are so many possibilities!

Measurements:

Lost Lagoon (Strawberry Slush): 1/2 sheet, 3" x 8 1/2"
Basic White: 2 3/4" x 4", 2 3/4" x 4" (back), 2 3/4" x 4" (stamped image), scraps
Everyday Happiness DSP (ret) (Florals in Bloom): 1" x 5 1/4", 2 3/4" x 4"

To Make This Card:

Score base along 8 1/2" side @ 1 1/4" - 2 1/2" - 5 1/2". Crease well. Accordion fold.
Adhere 1" DSP strip to front of card.
Take single "sprig" and stamp in the same color, on the inside 3" of cardstock (that will be seen). I also stamped on the back of the Strawberry Slush one, so take your pick!
Next, score "step" at 4 1/4" (or just fold in half). Crease well.
Adhere DSP to front, and White layer to the back.
Attach to card base as shown with Tear n Tape.
Now stamp image in coordinating ink onto piece of White. Die cut both outside and inside images at the same time.
Adhere to "step" with Multipurpose Glue.
Also, die cut 2 "sprigs", and tuck those under "frame" adding to the image.
Stamp "sprig" and sentiment on the back piece.
If desired, stamp sentiment onto scrap of White. Die cut with Stylish Shapes Banner. And, adhere where desired.
Finish with White & Silver Bow and scattered Rhinestones.
