Becky's Stampin' Studio: Friendly Foliage Floating Tent Card

So, I found another sample on Pinterest of a Floating Tent Card that uses the current bundle, Friendly Foliage, so I decided to give it a try! I LOVE it! What I really love is the color combination of Secret Sea and Petal Pink! I'm down here stamping with my friends in Springfield. We are getting together this afternoon to "play" and will be making this card. But, I will ALSO be doing this in my class at home next Wednesday, I love it so much!

Measurements:

Secret Seat: 1/2 sheet cut LENGTHWISE, 4" x 4 1/4" (accordion fold), 1 1/2" x 1 7/8”" (mechanism), scrap
Basic White: 4" x 5 1/4" (back); 2 3/4" x 4" (stamped image)
Lovely & Beautiful DSP (N)(OE): 4" x 5 1/4" (Petal Pink print)

To Make This Card:

Adhere Petal Pink Print piece to folded Secret Sea base. I used Multipurpose Glue so that the piece was adhered all over.
Next, die cut center of front from 3rd largest Branching Out Die (or any die of your choice). Set this aside.
While the base is still pretty flat, create back layer, by stamping smaller “sprig” in Secret Sea ink, in 2 opposite corners.
Then, add this to the back side of card.
Note: If desired, at this time you could also add a piece of DSP to the inside of your card. You don't see a whole lot of this, so I chose not to do this.
For the accordion "stand", score along the 4" side at 1/2" - 1 1/4" - 2" - 2 3/4" - 3 1/2".
Fold this piece in half, and then accordion fold, creasing well.
Next, adhere this to the inside of the card base, with the 1/2" section attached to the front and back, with the score line/crease even with the cut edge of the card base.
Now, to decorate the insert!
Stamp “leafy frame” in Secret Sea ink onto piece of White. Die cut with both parts of “frame” die.
Making sure your print matches up, adhere this piece to front cut out piece with “Green Glue”.
You might want to add any embellishments at this time, while it is still flat. I used the · Secret Sea dots from the Moody Palette Dots Embellishments.
Score the swing "mechanism" @ 3/4". The width of the mechanism may change based on the die that you used for the "window", but they are all 1 1/2" wide.
Now, adhere one side of the "mechanism" to the top of the insert. I used Tear & Tape.
Place adhesive on the other side, place insert into the opening (matching the DSP design), and adhere to the inside.
Finish front with die cut “sprig” from Secret Sea cardstock.
